Damon can’t say he’s too surprised. Pretty grim stuff, that murder! They get the news, you know, it’s not so far removed from the world here as all that. It’s a funny thing, but he was interested in seeing a guy like that in this place. He looked so... young, on all the news shows.

Didn’t take him too long to lose that tidy hairstyle, and these days he’s looking practically unruly. They say prison changes people--a pretty shortsighted saying, if you ask Damon, a change of environment will change anyone, if they’ve got half the brains required to adapt. Some people walk in here and don’t change a bit, just tells you what their world was like beforehand!

Blackquill, though, must’ve been blindsided by this place. He talks a big game, and does a pretty good job at coming off as a mean bastard. But the bags under his eyes and the streak in his hair--not to mention the tangles and knots!--betray him. He’s got a heart, you can see it when he interacts with that bird!

Too bad, huh, that he went and killed that scientist? Not just a stabbing, either--a lot of malice in it, or that’s how it seemed from the news! Doesn’t seem to regret it, though... Well, Damon knows how that goes.

Geiru types the phone number into the new second-hand phone, which she may or may not have wooed a guard into getting for her. Which certainly wasn’t an easy feat, so she hopes this thing will even work! Or that she has the right phone number for that matter - Geiru isn’t one for remembering long numbers.

character in general: He’s mean and has a mane of fabulous hair and a ridiculously pathetic reason for why there are strange markings around his eyes. Somewhere my 13 year old self is clutching her Gaara and L plushies and swooning. Actually though, I’m super excited to get to the games with him! lbr all the prosecutors were going to be my favorite type of law-abiding anti-villain. Plus Simon in particular has a Birb Friend that he put a little birb scarf on. Is it possible to not love Simon Blackquill??how they play them: You know I love your writing, I hope! You are such a good writer and I will write pages for you if you like on why I like Alsielle but it’s super neat to see you branching out to a different character and coming up with a different voice. You have a way (and this goes for Alsielle too ofc) of playing comical characters and making them human, without losing any of what makes them comical. It’s like, you keep him funny and almost cute(?? maybe sympathetic is a better word, I’m literally thinking specifically of that scene you had of Simon buying Kei a jacket and comparing it to tying the scarf on Taka). All without pulling any punches on the fact that he’s a COMPLETE JERK, or pulling any punches with his horrifically sad back story.the mun: some of my irl friends know about my friend in Chicago who met Tommy Wiseau and who has a cool job. sorry. I think you’re super cool and I’m glad we’re friends! Also thank you for telling me that Ace Attorney could be played on iPhone and reminding me by writing neat stuff that this is one of those fandoms that I always thought looked super fun.
