Happy 2-year anniversary to my sophomore record.

Looking back, it's hard to believe I managed to put this all together on my own. So many samples, so much deliberating, so much mixing... but I got something I'm happy with in the end. Probably could have used more vocal and melodic samples, but that's just me continuing to dream, post-release.

If I recall, there are some 150+ samples scattered throughout the album. It's not as many as other similar projects in the genre, but I still managed to impress myself. The making of this album made me appreciate even more the albums that served as inspiration for it.

Thanks to everyone that has supported and listened to this album for the past 2 years, it means the world to me.

This is the musical equivalent to a bunch of teenage boys skating past and throwing trash into your garden while flipping you off.

One problem is finding good music that doesn't infringe on copyrights. 

Even if you're not trying to monetize your creations, platforms like YouTube and Twitch will put ads on anything you create that uses copyrighted music.

I hear some podcast hosts are doing this now, too.

NOTE: No bullshit, I came across the red one many years ago at a $1 thrift store in the city of Whittier, CA, and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it on the basis of recorded history alone. I passed it up 'cause I don't play or collect tapes!

PIC(S) INFO: PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on the complete BEASTIE BOYS "Paul's Boutique" original cassette collection -- 8 colors in total, released by Capitol Records on July 25, 1989.

So, these all went up for sale on Worthpoint/eBay who knows when (I have no idea), and I'm guessing they potentially went for hundreds of dollars (thousands?) considering everyone's also kicking themselves for writing off "Paul's Boutique" when it debuted 35 years ago today. The best thing to have done would've been to buy all eight colors right then and there.
