âAngels are like children, they donât know human stuff like personal space and they develop emotion over time, have fun with your new pet angel.â Dean said and hang up the phone.
âSo um you going to be staying with me now.â Ed said.
You nodded and went up to the recording device. You placed your hand on the device and removed all the memory off it. âWhat did you just do?â Ed asked, panicking.
âI removed the memory.â He frowned but didnât complain. You watched Ed pack up all the gear he had set up. You went down stairs, out of the house and into the darkness of the night. Ed put all of his gear into a white van. You got in the passenger side of the van. Neither of you spoke as he drove off with you. But he kept staring at you. You didnât understand why though. âHave I inappropriate dressed my vessel?â You asked him. You were wearing dark blue jeans, a loose grey singlet and a black leather jacket. âWhat?â He replied.
âYou keep staring at me, I presumed why.â
âOh um not, itâs just not every day that you find yourself in a car with an angel.â
âOh. So that is why you keep looking at me.â You stated. He looked away from you and then at the road. âYeah.â He said quietly. You arrived in a trailer park. You looked around the place until he stopped the van next to one and got out. He unlocked it and you followed him inside. âWhy were you at the house?â You asked him curiously.
âTo get a ghost on film and then show the word and get famous.â He replied like it was obvious.
âYou really should not mess with spirits, you donât really seem cut out for doing things like that.â
âIâll have you know I have dealt with spirits before.â
âAlone?â He looked at you, biting his lip.
âI am carrying on my friends and Iâs dream, because one day he is going to come back, things are going to go wrong and I am going to be here for him.â
âBut what if it never goes wrong? What if things go right for him and he becomes happy? What are you going to do? How long will you wait? What if this profession kills you?â You were poking holes in his statement.
âI donât know! Why do you care?â He snapped back.
âYou are tired, you should get some rest.â You told him, changing the subject. He sighed and climbed into a bed. âYou can sleep there.â He told you, pointing.
âI donât sleep.â You stated. He looked at you blankly. He rolled over not saying anything.
The next morning and were sitting on the bed Ed had directed you to with your legs crossed. You were watching Ed sleeping closely. You started thinking about what it was like to be human and do human things like sleep and to dream. He rolled over to face. He yawned and put his glasses. He then looked at you. He rocked backward in surprise. âSweet mother of Kirk!â He shouted. âDid you watch me sleep? That is the creepiest thing ever.â He told you.
âWho is Kirk?â You asked confused.
âNever mind, but we need to have a talk about personal human nature things.â You sat there quietly listening for what he was going to say. âOkay, for starters donât watch people sleep, meditate or something. Donât stand really close to people, it makes them feel awkward. Donât talk about things that could upset people unless you have to. Donât talk about politics or about peopleâs way of life. Donât but into peopleâs conversations. Donât question people. Donât be rude. When something bad happens you say it is going to be okay even if it is not. When bad things happen you try make the person feel better. When someone is sick, you try and help them much as possible. You say a baby is cute, even if it is fat and ugly. Donât talk about peopleâs weight.â You nodded to this, trying to process everything.
âNow I need to get dressed.â He stated and you just sat there. He sighed. âGo outside and wait for when I tell you that you can come back inside.â He pulled you up and pushed you out side. You stood there waiting.
 Time Skip
You had been with Ed for a while now when your brother called. Y/N?
Castiel?
I need you to do something for me.
What is it, brother?
There has been a death of one of our brothers, he was in a town not far from you and I need you to go see what happened.
I shall report back my findings.
Thank you.
You and Ed where in his van, driving. âEd, I must leave and do a job for my brother.â
âOh okay, goodbye Y/N. Come back soon.â He said and you felt strange leaving, disappointed. You had really grown to like Ed over the months. You flew to the last known location of your brother. It was a large empty warehouse, it seemed normal. That was until you found the âSulphur.â You spoke out loud.
âAmazing, they just keep coming.â You turned to see a demon behind you. You could sense how much power he had, just from where you were standing. Five more demons waked out behind him. You slid your angel blade out of your jacket. âThe last one of you didnât really put up a fight, letâs see if you can.â He smiled. You tried to fly away but there was something stopping you.
Some of the demons pulled out angel blades, you didnât know how they got hold of them, but they had. Two approached you going for the straight for the kill. You managed to stab one and smite the other but at the same time one hit you in the stomach, another went to stab you and you tried to dodge but he got your wing. You let out an ear piercing scream. You turn and sliced the demonâs throat. The main demon waved his hand and you were smashed against the back wall. âYou put up a good fight, angel. Because of that I am going to let you live, but you will probably wish you were dead.â The demon laughed as one of the demons went over to you and knocked you out.
You woke up chained to a chair, the demon was preparing torturing equipment. Then it spoke. âSee I was working under Crowley when he got a little angel in named Samadriel, I found out the way he stopped that angel from using radio is by putting a rod into his vessels head.â He walked over to you and slowly put a metal rod into your head, he was right. You could feel disconnected. âThey then started experimenting on the angel by putting more rods into the angels head until they got to his factory settings. He started talking in echohain, thatâs how they found out about the angel tablet.â He leaned over you and looked you in the eye.
âI honestly donât care about that.â He got a branding iron and placed it against your skin and your mouth was filled with screams. âI just find the screams of angels to be music to my ears.â He laughed. He got an angel blade and held it to your face. âThis is your blade.â He whispered, then he pierced the skin on your face and dragged it down and stopped just above your chin. His head tilted backward as he laughed. You head butted him and picked up the chair you were chained to. You slammed it into his gut and you slammed it against him again and then the floor until one of the arm rests broke.
You picked up your blade and smashed it against the demon. You got your other arm free just as the last two demons ran in. You threw your blade at one and it hit it in the chest. The other demon hissed at you, then lunged at you. You put your arm out but it was too late for the demon as you smite it. You looked down at the spot where the demon had branded you. It was glowing. You had seen that spell once before.
It was basically just made the angel not be able to heal as fast as we normally would. You weakly stumbled to a car and opened it, you search for a little until you found the spare key. You started the car. You kept focus on not passing out until you got to where Ed had told you where you two were going before Castiel had contacted you. You ditched the car and stumbled until you found Edâs trailer. You knocked once, no one answered. Then you passed out.
You woke to find Castiel and Ed sitting near you. You were inside of Edâs trailer. It was cramped. âCas-tiel.â You croaked.
âY/N I am going to remove the rod from your head, okay?â He told you. You let out a weak smile, he then gently pulled it out, not that it didnât stop it from hurting. It hurt what even felt like more than when it went in. You didnât have enough strength to scream so you let out a wincing, strangled noise. You felt yourself be connected to angel radio again. âThey were waiting for me, Castiel. Demons. One branded me. I have seen the design before. It stops me from healing or getting healed from another angel. I will be healing at human speed. It will basically make me human until I finish healing.â I explained.
âWhat of the demons that did this to you?â
âDead.â
âWere they working for Crowley?â
âAt first that was what I thought but then the leader he talked about how he used to work under Crowley, past tense. The leader, he was a powerful demon, reckless, but powerful.â
âDid you find out what happened to our brother?â
âI am afraid I did, they said he didnât put much of a fight so I presume that he is no more. There has been more than one angel disappearance in that area.â
âI believe so, they must have perished as well.â Castiel looked down, heartbroken from the loss.
âThey had angel blades, how did they get them?â You wondered out loud.
âWe had many casualties in the fall, the demons probably took the angel blades from those who died.â You would have nodded but you knew that would have just created unnecessary pain.
I have another request, a samandriel Oneshot request<3: you wake up after a horrifying nightmare, feeling frightened and especially alone. You call for samandriel and he is there after a while. You ask him if he can stay for a while and cuddle with you, try to make samandriel's response awkwardly cute, you know:)? Alright! Have a great day/night :D bye
Word count: 2123Characters (s): SamandrielReader gender: FemaleWarnings: Mentions death of parents
You sit in the back of your parentâs car, fidgeting, not able to contain the nervousness that was starting to build in your stomach. You know itâs just a matter of time till they come out, but part of you worried. You always worried, which was ironic because you are a hunter. Being a hunter and worrying donât really go hand-in-hand. This is why you left the hunting life behind. You knew that someday your worry and second guessing would get someone killed and youâd rather leave the hunting to the professionals anyway. But somehow you found yourself right back at square one. Actually, it really wasnât hard to see why. Living on your own and hustling pool is not that easy when you are only 16, especially when people keep calling the authorities on you. So eventually you broke down and tracked your parents to a small town in the Midwest, where they were just finishing up a hunt. They took you back instantly, which surprised you because you assumed they would despise you for leaving the way you did. You just kind of up and left in the middle of the night with a poor excuse for a goodbye letter left behind to answer, not even a fraction of the questions they may have had about your leaving. Just days after getting back together with your parents you were already on the trail of another hunt. You were hoping to have some time with your parents before your first time back in the swing of things, yet here you were waiting for what seemed like ages for your parents to exit the morgue that they decided was absolutely necessary to break into. You start to panic, thinking the worst. Maybe they set of an alarm and the cops showed up. What if there was someone still in the building when they busted in? Your feared where quickly set aside as you looked up and saw your parents walking out of the building, taking their sweet time getting to the car.
âWhat took you guys so long?â you questioned with a concerned look on your face.
âNothing, we just had to make sure our hunch was right, which it was,â your dad replied almost upset that he was right this time.
âSo we are hunting a Djinn,â you say, trying to rack your brain for any information that may be left over from all of those late nights studying lore.
âNot just a Djinn, we think it is several of them,â your mother said in a tone that wasnât all too comforting.
âOkay, so letâs kill these bastards,â you say in the most hunter sounding voice you could come up with. But deep down you were afraid. Thinking, why out of all of the things that go bump in the night, why did your first time back in the game have to be Djinn. Itâs not that they were particularly hard to kill it just if you left one of them get a hold of you, then youâre basically a goner.
âDid you hear me, Y/N?â your thoughts were cut short by your motherâs now irritated voice.
âUh, no sorry I was thinking about something, itâs nothing. Um, what were you saying?â you ask almost afraid to admit you werenât listening to your mother.
âI said that we have to find out where they are hiding first. Although your dad and I have a pretty good idea where they might be. So for now we are going back to the motel and we will do some more research and we will hit the ground running first thing tomorrow.â you could hear the annoyance in your motherâs voice, but you smiled none-the-less. Being home was starting to feel good.
You awoke screaming, tears brimming at your eye. Just when you thought these nightmares had stopped plaguing you, here they are creeping back into your brain, slowing destroying you. The images of what happened after that simple conversation in the car began flashing before your eyes. You looked around your room and all you saw was that warehouse, your parents slowly having the life sucked out of them from these off breed Djinn. The ones your parents didnât tell you that you were hunting. You make eye contact with your father, the look of horror on his face as your mother lay there lifeless. You shut your eyes trying to make these images go away, reminding yourself that they arenât real, that you are in the bedroom of a small apartment you own. The adrenaline began making its way through your body, putting you on the verge of nauseousness. You try and move out of your bed, but you feel paralyzed with the memory that your nightmare brought back. You feel the tears as they roll off your cheeks and onto your bed. I had been 8 years since your parents had been killed, yet it felt just like yesterday. God, does 8 years feel like a long time to keep blaming yourself for what happened. But no matter how you looked at what happened, no matter how many times you played that scenario over and over again in your head, they always ended up dead, and worse still with their blood on your hands. You try and push all of these thoughts out of your head, but no matter what you do, they keep popping back to the surface. You look around your room once again and realize just how alone you are, how alone youâve been these years. Sure, youâve made friends, but nothing really solid, because you donât want anyone else to get hurt by your stupidity. But there was him, your angel, Samandriel. He never really bothered you, he would come if you needed help with something you were working on but that was it. You got the information or advice you needed from him and then you sent him on his way. You started to wonder if maybe he would make an exception just stay here with you till the morning.
You decided to call out for him. âSamandriel, if youâre there, I⌠never mind,â you decide itâs a dumb attempt to try and call an angel down from heaven just to give you the comfort you donât deserve. You force yourself to lay down and try to go back to sleep even though just the idea of sleeping, of those nightmares, brings tears to your eyes.
You laid there for what felt like hours, but was realistically maybe 45 minutes. You heard a crashing sound followed by what you could have sworn sounded like rustling feathers. You can hear footsteps start to move towards your bedroom door. You quickly reached for the gun on the nightstand by your bed, a move that you were all too familiar with and aim it at the door, awaiting whatever was coming through the door. The door opened to reveal a very surprised angel.
âSamandriel, what the-. What are you doing here?â you spurt out.
âY/N, you prayed for me. Donât you remember?â he said with a confused look on his face. You quickly realized that you were still pointing a gun at him and put it back in its place on the night stand.
âIâm sorry,â you whisper sheepishly.
âThatâs fine. If anyone should be apologizing, it should be me. I didnât come when you called and for that Iâm sorry,â he replied with that confused look still on his face.
âOh⌠no.., I-itâs fine. You didnât have to come here Samandriel, you can leave if you want,â you say, your voice barely audible at this point.
âBut, you called me here. There must be something you need me for. Do you need help with a hunt? Wait its 3 am, shouldnât you be sleeping?â he inquired while stepping closer to your bed.
You push further back onto your bed and immediately scold yourself. You called him here so you wouldnât feel so alone, yet here you are trying to push him away. Trying to distance yourself from anyone that could provide you any sense of what felt like a normal life.
You move slightly closer to the middle of your bed and pat your hand down on the spot next to you.
âWhat does that mean?â Samandriel questioned, looking at the spot where your hand laid.
âIt means I want you to sit here, next to me,â you responded with a hint of a smile to your face.
âOh,â he replied awkwardly sitting down on the bed,
âSo the reason I called you here was because IâŚI had a really bad, well more like horrifying, nightmare and Iâm just really afraid of going back to sleep by myself. So anyway, I was wondering if you would stay here and maybe cuddle, or just lay here with me. I mean you donât have to if you donât want, I just thought I might do it,â you rambled and proceeded to look away from him feeling your face burning red from embarrassment.
âUh⌠Well⌠what do you mean by cuddle?â he inquired.
âOh its umm, well like two people lying down next to each other and usually one of them has their arms around the other person. Kind of like a hug, but you are laying down,â you say and start to wonder how weird that mustâve sounded to an angel of the lord whose physical contact with you is minimal.
âOkay, I understand,â you could practically see the steam coming out of Samandirelâs ears as you saw him trying to fully process what you told him. âI am really sorry Y/N, but I donât think I should really be doing something like that. I will gladly stay here and watch over you as you sleep in case these nightmares should happen again,â he said while avoiding eye contact with you.
âOhâŚokay, thatâs fine, yeah, itâs not like I actually expected you to take me seriously. I was just kidding Samandriel,â you were aware of the hurt that resonated in your voice when you said this and hoped he didnât pick up on it.
You laid down hoping that the subject would drop and you would be able to get some sleep. You lay there just waiting for sleep to come and take you away from your current situation. Just as you are about to give up, you feel pressure on the bed behind you and soon Samandriel is behind you. âI have realized it was rude of me to reject you any sort of comfort and I have decided to do this cuddling thing with you. Now do I just stay here even after you have fallen asleep or should I leave?â you can hear the concern in his voice, which you chalk up to his lack of the human experience.
âUh, itâs whatever you want to do Samandriel. I canât really make you stay,â you say, hoping he would stay long after you had fallen asleep.
âOh, well then I guess I will stay,â he said with a hint of a laugh behind his words.
You two begin to settle down and you can feel the apprehension Samandriel has about wrapping his arms around you, about being this close to someone he is supposed to just watch over and protect. But once his arms around you, you can feel his body start to relax against yours, with your own body relaxing in response. You started to adjust your body to fit into the curvature of Samandrielâs and you started to feel that comfort, that bodily connection that you had wanted from someone for so long yet denied yourself these years because of your fears of being close to anyone.
âY/N, would you like me to move? I feel like I am making you extremely uncomfortable, and Iâd rather not do that. Y/N?â Samandriel tried to grab your attention, not realizing you were just moments away from sleeping.
Gather the remaining bits of energy you had, you turned slightly towards him. âEverything is fine Samandriel. Iâm fine, youâre fine. Thereâs no reason to worry so much,â you breathlessly replied with a smile playing across your lips.
You move back into place, making yourself comfortable once more. A few small moments pass and Samandriel says quietly âItâs no problem, honestly. I can move if it would make you more comfortable,â his words becoming an echo from his previous comments as you drifted off into what you felt was going to be the best sleep youâve had in 8 years.
âSamandriel, I told you, itâs fine,â you mumbled out just as your body succumbed to the sleep you had so been desperately seeking.
