You know how the winchesters are always drinking unbranded beer because TV? What kind of beer do you think they actually would drink?
Or like... I know I've seen people (and I wish I remembered who it was) who have opinions on which type of cigarettes every single character would smoke. That was cool. I'd love that kind of thing. Hell, even like... If you have a strong opinion on if they'd drink Coke or Pepsi.
I guess I'm just asking "brands?" but I think that's interesting. Whether it's underwear or cologne or food, do you think there's some product either Sam or Dean have an undying loyalty to?
And I don't care if you're not American and answer with brands we don't have here. If they'd like it they'd like it, you know? It's still an interesting answer to me.

When it comes to cigarettes, I think Dean prefers Marlboros, but he settles for the cheapest filtered brand, like Basics or Pall Malls. He gets menthols to make up for the cheapass flavor, but thinks of himself as a Reds guy. When they're around Rez country, he gets big bags of tobacco and papers at the trading post and rolls his own without filters. Sam smokes whatever Dean has, because I see him more as a social smoker. I like to think Sam likes clove cigarettes, but Dean thinks that's hipster shit, and anyway apparently they've been banned in the U.S. since 2009.😱 If Sam sees some Kamel Red Lights, he gets those as a little treat. (My brand when I smoked socially lol)
For beer, it's cheap lagers for Dean. I think PBR and Coors taste like weak piss, so I don't see Dean as drinking them lol. Budweiser and Miller, maybe. Whatever he's used to John drinking. Miller High Life when he's feeling fancy (the champagne of beers, Sammy!) He'd mock craft beers, but if he tasted them I think he'd get a preference for them really quick—Belgian styles rather than IPA. He'd like Dogfish Head Namaste, despite the hippy-dippy name. I think he'd rather have a cheap whiskey than a craft IPA. At a bar, he'll take what's on tap. I think Sam would be more into trying different beers and expanding his palate, but again he'll go with what Dean is drinking when they're buying a pack. When they move into the bunker and get their hacked credit card, Dean will sometimes get some interesting craft hipster beer with the excuse it's for Sammy, but he totally loves it too. Secretly, Dean loves fruit ales but will act like it's too girly. He gets them "for Sam," but Sam doesn't drink them.
Sometimes on the show they drinks brands Jensen or friends of the show brew, and I think of those as in-universe brands. (El Sol—probably a Mexican lager; Margiekugel—probably a brand like Leinenkugel; Schultz—in universe Schlitz maybe? Which is even worse than PBR imo, or at least the guys that always bought it when I worked at CVS always smelled awful when it was leaking from their pores.)
For cola, they would've grown up on generic brands, and Dean would be the type of person who says Coke and Pepsi are the same. Sam prefers Coke.

I don't know a lot of colognes and I don't really think of them as cologne guys. Dean would use Old Spice body wash, though. Maybe they'd also have a classic aftershave of some sort that smells nice. I could maybe see teen!Dean getting those sample size bottles of Tommy Hilfiger or Polo Sport or Drakaar Noir at truck stops, though. Although I suppose in a universe where they do actually smoke, it's more likely for them to keep a little bottle of something to spray on themselves before talking to witnesses and shit. So I'll say they have a rotation of colognes that have been curated by their respective tastes over the years, but I don't know what it would be because I don't know enough colognes. In wincest world, they choose fragrances each according to the other's preferences, and likely complementary scents.
Other brands... I think they'd be so used to needing to live frugally that they're not used to the luxury of brand loyalty, especially for food. But Dean would have big opinions about the best diners, and he's willing to drive for his favorite burger or steak.
For condoms, Dean goes for tried-and-true Trojans, but Sam likes to experiment with different brands for different experiences. Sammy needs magnums. I haven't needed condoms for awhile, so I can't say for sure what kind Sam would like best with what's available now. Dean is a classic kinda guy, but he's willing to use what Sam wants. ...when they actually use them...
