harvest and bonfire!
heyyyyy thanks for the questions!! Iâm sorry this took literal hours to answer, I got Very Distracted and then forgot to check if I got any questions :P
Harvest: what fictional character do you most identify with? Why? - Iâm gonna give a couple answers here because otherwise it would be almost impossible to decide. first iâm gonna go with the protags from the Airborn series of book by Kenneth Oppel. i projected onto both of them so hard as a kid and iâm p sure that they make up like 60% of my identity today.Â
second is the protag from A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. that oneâs for a much more personal reason, which, if youâve read the book, you can prolly figure out. letâs just say weâve gone through similar (though not identical, thankfully) struggles.Â
thirdly, and this oneâs a little esoteric but bear with me here, Iâm picking the protag from The Universe Versus Alex Woods by Gavin Extence. Iâve never been through the things heâs been through, I didnât read the book at a young and impressionable age when it could actually shape the person I became, and yet when I read that book it felt like I was reading my own thoughts out loud. I donât know how else to describe it, but it just felt like we had the same thoughts/feelings/reactions to the world around them.
Bonfire: describe your dream house. - I have 2 dream homes, basically my dream home and my dream vacation home. my dream home is a float home in false creek (in Vancouver, natch), itâs a cute little brightly-painted house with ample windows to let in natural light, and itâs filled with plants and probably a fair number of critters (at least 2 cats, a reptile or 2, maybe a bird). the walls are painted in light blues, greens, purples, pinks, basically every wall is a different colour. the furniture is an eclectic mix of very basic items and incredibly strange thrift-store finds (I absolutely have the loudest, most garish couch you can imagine, also possibly a water bed). thereâs a lot of unstained, unfinished wood and steel and iron, and the walls are covered in art and the shelves are full of knick-knacks. it is bright and peaceful and surrounded by the place I love and full of things I love.Â
my vacation home is a literal treehouse. itâs got cool rope bridges connecting the different âroomsâ spread out amongst the canopy, and thereâs little portholes that look out in all directions (including up+down) so I can spy on the wildlife around me, and thereâs a room at the top that peeks up above the canopy with a glass roof that I can lay in and watch the clouds/stars/sunrise/sunset/whatever.
