Festivity: 1/10 Only nominally a Christmas story, could be any occasion when all of the family members you don't want to see are summoned together.
A Case of Life and Limb by Sally Smith: Book two in the Trials of Gabriel Ward, featuring music hall scandal and dismembered body parts.
Coziness: 5/10 The tranquility of Gabriel Ward KC's bookish existence is disturbed by all sorts of messy human problems (and human remains).
Festivity: 3/10 There are snowball fights and Christmas dinner, but that surprise gift parcel turns out to contain somebody's foot, so.
Masters In This Hall by KJ Charles: jewel heists, betrayal, romance, quite a lot of caroling.
Coziness: 7/10 Warm holiday party atmosphere, unpleasant holiday party guests

Coziness: 5/10 Classic country manor house setting and some bitingly funny scenes, but this isn't a house party I'd want to attend.

So I know I'm "not supposed" to advocate for harassment buuut I kind of hope Sally Smith gets shunned in public.
This awful white women has been medically kidnapping black and latino children for who knows how long AND she helped drive a Polish woman to suicide because she was too direct with her and that made her mad (I know the doc dosen't bring up the fact that Beata was a Polish woman with an accent, but knowing that Sally Smith has racist tendencies leads me to the conclusion that she probably dosen't like people like Beata).

S-s-she had p-p-pierced her hand with one of the pencils!!! And she didn't react at all! She had this blank expression as she stared at the pencil now impaling her hand, then she retracted it and tried again! Lucky one of my colleagues was able to stop her before she hurt herself some more… I wish I had done something, but I was so shocked! She didn't even fight when they took the pensil out of her hand, she calmly allowed herself to be guided to the infirmary… I was tasked with cleaning the blood…

Por suerte uno de mis compañeros pudo detenerla antes que se hiciera más daño… Me hubiera gustado hacer algo, pero estaba tan sorprendido! Ni siquiera detuvo a los enfermeros cuando le quitaron el lápiz de la mano y se la llevaron a la enfermería… A mí me tocó limpiar la sangre que dejó atrás…
