re: the @ function: people who have made it so their blog doesn't show up in search results cannot be @'ed.
Yeah, amongst varied other reasons. (and what a weird implementation to cause that. Like, this ask is not an explanation, it is a *bug report*.) The ones that really get me though are the āyou canāt @ this person in this postā ābut you can in THIS postā ānope canāt againā scenarios.
I did some brief but systematic poking of @ behaviour once, because I didnāt understand why anything was happening. I discovered I had someone I could NEVER mention, a couple I could always mention, at least for those couple hours, and one that was a grabbag.

written before TKaM apparently, but set after, which will be interesting? wonder how much plotline editing it needs
Yeah...I'm excited, but also apprehensive - that book has a special place in my heart, the kind of place things only achieve if they get there early enough, y'know? I'm not sure I /want/ to know what happens to Scout and Jem and Atticus when they're older, especially if, as suggested, this book was originally cannibalized to provide some of the best parts of TKaM.
And the stuff about Harper Lee maybe not being fully cognizant about what's going on doesn't exactly soothe those concerns.
