Itās kinda interesting that like... Fighter and Tutor both exude top / dom energy back and forth. Tor more often than Fight, tbh, but when Tor gets him riled up, Fight can have dom energy. ANYWAY, point is, they kinda both switch off with that.
Meanwhile, Zon and Saifah seem to trade off on sub energy? Theyāre both so soft and unsure and like... maybe scared to make the first move? Or not sure how to? They both want each other, but are so coy about it. I mean, Zon nudged Sai with his foot and tried to show off his thigh and be all subtle. But at the same time, the moment he actuallyĀ said something that was like making a move, Sai was like O_O oh shit.Ā
Like, Sai was always the one making the move and being the sort of ... trope-y romanceĀ āguy role.ā But when it came down to it, Zon was the one who had to urge Sai on.Ā
Anyway, I guess what Iām saying is, Iām like, reasonably sure Tutor, Fighter, Zon and Saifah are all like, team versatile switch. But Tor and Fight are aggressive/direct where Zon and Saifah are cute and coy. And itās kinda neat to see them paired up that way, yāknow?
Itās like, for a while, Iāve wanted to see Fluke N and Earth K in a drama together, both playing soft sweet cute boys? But then I realized, thatās basically what Sai and Zon have done towards the end of Why R U.Ā
Anyway, Tor could easily have been, well, kind of like Pete in LBC. And Sai could have been more like hmm, Win in UWMA or Forth in 2 Moons 2. But they werenāt. And I think thatās a nice change. Cause in real life, itās not always a heteronormativeĀ pairing. People arenāt just easily categorized into dom/top sub/bottom 100% of the time. And thereās no rule that it has to be paired dom/sub. Everyone is flexible and we all have different and unique personalities and behave differently in different situations.Ā
Why R U was weird AF, like, itās no work of art for a tv show, but it ended up with characters more interesting, dynamic and well rounded than some other shows. Anyway. Iām real tired, I meant to fall asleep like 3 hours ago and this ramble is longer than I intended. BUT maybe someone will find it interesting. WHO KNOWS.Ā
