Another drawing of Saheiji, Yukimura and Joe, this time they're a bit older and sleeping.

(Note that Saheiji’s first appearance was in the flashback at Ginga Densetsu Weed volume 30 chapter 3 where he helped out Sakura and at that time, he wasn’t crippled) 

Father and son.

Saheiji playing with young Yukimura and Joe, long before the monkey attack that paralyzed Saheiji and separated Joe from his brother and adoptive father.

As Yukimura lies on the ground exhausted and having a mortal wound, the dogs around him notice that something is wrong. It’s Shougun! The baboon may be dazed and heavily-wounded but he’s still on a warpath. Fortunately for the dogs, Gozaru the old monkey jumps in to bash Shougun with a rock. Together with the other monkeys which joined Gozaru, they continued to beat the heavily-wounded baboon with wooden clubs and rocks until the monster is finally dead.

Best dad.

The dying Yukimura has life flashing before his eyes when he remembers his mother and his days as an older brother of Weed and Joe.
