I want to thank anyone who has ever left a kind comment (or reblogged and left tags) on my art. I do read and really appreciate every comment and tag I get even if I don't always reply back, and I do think back to and revisit them when I need a little mental boost.
It has been difficult with less and less people saying anything anymore, but that makes me appreciate those who say something even more.
More people should understand that no, your art doesn't suck, you just lack the experience.
More people should understand that no, that cool artist you look up to is not insanely talented and you could never compare to, they've just been making art for decades.
Everyone has their starting point.

Things that keep me up at night:
Enough people have told me this for me to know it's true, but apparently for some people a shoddily drawn PokΓ©mon comic I made in my twenties was their first introduction to a trans character in narrative that was not a sidenote, but a major focus in the story.
An interesting observation I also made:
Early on this comic's run I got a comment concerned over how my comic would be "too political" for featuring so heavily an openly trans character.
Interestingly enough, about equally prominent openly gay character in same story never received such comments.

Things that keep me up at night:

The thing with me never doing things like artfight is that I don't like asking people to draw my characters out of principle.
I am only okay with other people drawing my characters if they do it out of their own volition, and not because I or someone else asked for it.

Sometimes you get to learn interesting things when you do research for your art.
So, I happened to come across with this photo of a really old, rusty tank just standing in the middle of a field of flowers somewhere. The visual of it struck me deeply: a sign of a battle long in the past, old scars covered in the beauty of the nature. Of course, this being the old endlessly curious myself, I had to learn what this place was and why the tank was there.
And what I learned was quite fascinating, actually.
*Crawls out of my hole, dumps a bunch of old (2025) brainrot doodles, crawls back into my hole while cackling like a maniac*
