I have a class where we're continually talking about my hyperfixation (mass casualty disasters and safety) and today I got to suggest my favorite video about the Sampoong department store collapse for the entire class to watch next week!
I'd like to report a safety violation
I spent an hour typing an in-depth response to some woman on youtube claiming that scented candles are toxic and cause cancer. Oops.

My profession is a little. . . neurotypical. Had some recruiters come in to one of my classes looking to hire safety professionals for their construction company. Their main selling point was that "you get to do something new every day!" and that you "can receive calls at any time to show up at a new place!" and then they made fun of more stable areas of our field. "Imagine showing up at the same place and working with the same people every day. None of you guys are that lame, right?"
Okay Mr. Recruiter, but have you considered that if I don't have some modicum of stability in my life, I might actually die?
This blog is 18+
Okay, I can’t believe I have to say this again, but please don’t follow this blog if you’re a minor. I have this information in my pinned post and I have it in my bio. I just had to softblock someone.
This is not because I’m anti-children or anything, and I really don’t want this post to come across that way. It’s because I post links to explicit fic I write and it’s because I sometimes make nsfw posts. I made this blog specifically because I needed somewhere to promote my Futurama fics and because my main blog has minors following it. It functions as a Futurama sideblog as a whole, but that’s the reason I made it in the first place.
And I don’t mean to get preachy, but I really do think minors need to be more careful on the Internet. Don’t advertise your age or even that you’re a minor where adults can easily see it. Don’t give revealing information about yourself if you’re a minor. That can leave you as a target for predators and groomers; I’m dead serious about that.
Please respect my boundaries because they exist for a reason. They exist to keep minors safe, and they exist to keep me safe as well. Exposing minors to nsfw content is illegal, and for good reason, so I try my best to avoid that. I don’t always have time to do a background check on everyone who follows me.
also aew new camera cuts at moments of impact are not good i think
