The story of a broken castle
You moved into this place with bricks and a wall,
Another person came by, you gave love your all.
You decided to build a castle, forever the call,
Then love faded, trust died, and the castle did fall.
Scrambling bricks everywhere, the whole place is a mess,
Life’s stuck like a car that stalled, going nowhere, distressed.
Then one day a stranger comes by, “Let me help you build the castle.”
You said, what’s the harm if we try? There’s nothing to hassle.
The castle rose again, not the same as before,
A little more guarded, a little more sure.
You thought this was it, the final restore,
To this soul you felt tied, emotionally in debt once more.
You gave it your all, went beyond every line,
Stayed happy a while, thought the timing aligned.
Then love faded again, trust died in its time,
And the castle cracked open, brick by brick, line by line.
The castle is broken again,
The halls that once reeked of love,
The halls that echoed with laughter and happiness, go silent again.
Alone in the ruins, you start to question God,
Why every castle you build ends up broken and flawed.
So you decide to build it again, this time without any help,
Brick by brick, lesson by lesson, relying on yourself.
You realize you never knew anyone who could build it strong,
Because the castle was never meant to be built by someone else all along.
The walls don’t need hands but yours to stand tall,
This castle doesn’t need anyone
It only needs you after all.
