...I could see it not hitting me until I rewatch, tbh. With well-constructed stuff I tend to spend the first viewing totally engrossed in how it plays out, and the feels don’t hit until second viewing.

I'm not going to tell you how to feel, but you have every right to keep that money. Your work has brought immense joy to lots of people (myself included) and there is no reason I shouldn't be able to show my appreciation with $$. You have my love and support as a fan of your work, and those anons can go fuck themselves. Artists get paid for commissions or prints and writers are allowed to set up patreons with pay walls, and you can't open up a tip jar because????? BULLSHIT. You're awesome.
i appreciate your input. i hear them loud and clear -- my writing is worth the precisely attention and time it takes to read it, one hit on the counter, and i should be grateful for that. it’s certainly another side of the coin to consider.
