See it’s scenes like these that I love for Chenford. Lucy did not judge Tim for what he’s been through. In fact, she acknowledged it and let him be seen, even though it was hard for him. She supports him through it all, and didn’t run from this - knowing all he’s been through & what was shared that day in the shop... she still stayed and wanted to help him through it. She offered him advice. She knew she may have been overstepping a little, but she was gentle about it. Kindhearted, caring, so very Lucy. Like how could he not want to hear her out, you know?
And then the thing is: Tim even used her advice. He listened to her and used it to have a productive, meaningful conversation with his sister, Genny. His look to Lucy is one of admiration, respect, love, and gratitude. She did a good thing for him, and he appreciates it. She just wants him to be happy, to feel cared for, to be the best version of himself no matter what. If she can help him get there, she will, whatever it takes. Their growth is something beautiful to see onscreen & I sincerely hope it continues on from here. 🥺💓
