I will never complain about Australian budget airlines again (I lied, it is my right and sacred duty to complain as much as I can), flying Ryan from London to Venice and it is hands down the worst flying experience of my life. I didn’t even get my gate number until an hour before it was set to leave, then had to walk 10min to get to the damn thing
By the time I get there it’s boarding time, so I jump in the line and get ushered out into the cold, where they make us stand on the tarmac for 15 minutes. I didn’t even put my coat on, I thought it was just a mad dash. But no they weren’t even finished prepping the plane and made us stand out in the fucking cold
I’m salty if you couldn’t tell, of course by the time I gave in and played the bag shuffle to get my coat on it was only another 5min till they let us in and I had to take it off again. And it seems to be standard practice, we were not the only planes worth of people standing around like chumps
I get in and there’s no seat pocket, the safety card is embedded in the seat in front of you. And they have the stingiest seat belt in the world, and look I’m by no means small, but I’m not quite ‘needs a belt extender’ big yet. But I huffed and wiggled and got the damn thing on, though now my skirt is weirdly tight so unsure where it’s caught
Made the executive decision to just assume the cabin pressure is going to suck and took a preemptive ibuprofen, can’t wait for the headache. Maybe I should look into that sinus thing that dentist mentioned, does it being close to my teeth have anything to do with sinus issues? Because I do not do well at altitude or under pressure, makes my head feel like its going to explode
