Your post about arranged marriage hit hard cause all of this has been going on in my family for years. im 23, so it hasn't happened to me yet, but I've been watching it happen to my cousins constantly and it has only eased up in the last year or so cause one of cousins who had an arranged marriage got divorced cause her husband abused and recorded and hit her. And then hearing r*ck say hes trying to subvert the stereotype (YOURE A WHITE MAN. YOU CANT SUBVERT STEREOTYPES) makes me so fucking mad
how the fuck can you subvert a stereotype by playing into it? he’s just reinforcing it!!!!! god, he doesn’t understand that this is a reality for so many of us, and it doesn’t define us but it sure as hell is traumatic. what does he know of family issues and the objectification of women especially being treated like possessions rather than humans!!! your cousin’s story, im so sorry to hear it happened :( my parents were the same, they relented after my cousin’s husband kept her locked up, stole and money and emotionally tortured her until she was dead inside.

I would probably float around in the Milky way galaxy because I always think about how huge planets actually are and witnessing our insignificance would be a very humbling experience. Maybe check if there’s life on other planets, return to earth and become a conspiracy theorist, except nothing is a theory. It’s me writing about what I saw. And then, a century from now, when people discover those things for real, I’ll be like that old lady who made all those predictions.

@colins-farrells I would die for her. We’ve been friends for almost 8 years now. Not kidding, she is a lot like Tony (and I’m not just talking about the love-hate relationship with Steve Rogers). She’s smart, funny and a LOT stronger than she thinks she is (she’ll disagree which is a very Tony thing to do tbh). I love it when she goes off about something she feels strongly about (she’ll disagree with me on this too because she’s a dumbass). I’m very protective of her (like Molly is of Harry). Yeah, I’m the annoying mom-friend. Having said that, I’ve learnt to become a more accepting person because of her. We have very different tastes in things but I never felt like I was being judged. I love Taylor Swift’s music. She doesn’t. But she still levels with my enthusiasm when a new song comes out or whatever because I’m excited.
Basically, she’s the Tony to my Rhodey (yeah, I’m definitely Rhodey) and I would share my fries with her.
