Brooke: Hey, where are u?

Brooke: Riles?

Brooke: Riley? This is important !!

Brooke: Look, I'll explain this to you later but if Tyler reaches out to you, don't talk to him. He's dangerous.

Brooke: Riles?

Tyler was leaning up against some rocks under the bridge, smoking a joint while listening to the cars drive overhead, on the bridge. The water below him was tranquil, relaxed, - and of course made him think about Jason Blossom. His body decomposed in this very river before eventually being washed up on shore to be found by a couple of students, which, he believed was Kevin and someone else? He wasn’t sure. Kevin never really talked about it. Tyler made note to ask his friend more questions involving that matter. Or, maybe just go to the two people obsessed with the town murders; Noah and Jughead. If he had to choose two suspects, it would be those freaks. Funny, since they had him pegged for suspect number 1, too. Ever since that YouTube video went viral (pharm party fight), Tyler had become infamous. Girls were turned on by the idea and guys feared him more than ever. This generation was seriously screwed up. There were a couple of people though who were helping rather than making it worse; Brooke, Veronica, and Emily. Brooke got him off the hook, Veronica bailed him out, and Emily faced her back to the rumors and kept things real with him. Other people; Nina and Jake, wanted him to suffer. ‘Why is Jake pissed? People said you were locked in a room with Brooke?’ Nina had texted him over a 100 times with that same question in many different forms. Tyler ignored them all. Jake called and left a voicemail saying his parents dropped the charges, but he’d drop him. Tyler wasn’t afraid of Jake but he was afraid of himself…

Riley: [ here, where r u? ]

Tyler crawled up the rocks and saw Riley on the other side of the bridge. “Hey!” Tyler called out, smiling and dusting off his clothes. He met her halfway and gave her a hug before guiding her to the rail where he leaned across the bridge overlooking the river. On one side, you could see couples cannoning in the sunset water, while on the shadier side, under the trees, were jocks and cheerleaders fogging up their jeeps and range rovers. “Which side are you, Riles? Late night glide across the calm river, talking to your crush? – or backseat of a luxury car getting hickeys on your neck?” an unashamed smirk colored his lips; bold and rosy.

Tyler: You grounded?

Tyler: Ever gonna txt me back?

Tyler: You see my movie?

Tyler: Was in jail.

                            As predicted, the sins of Brooke’s past were starting to finally catch up with her.   Somewhat.  Jake still didn’t know the half of it. And while, Brooke was partly relieved he didn’t, she also felt even more guilty for that. Especially, when she said once that secrets had a way of making everything worse. And it was true. The longer Jake was kept in the dark, the worse it was going to feel when he eventually learns the truth. “I don’t know how to come clean to Jake about something like that,” Brooke told Riley, as they sat on her bed with newly painted nails and the first season of ‘I love Lucy’ playing in the background. A show, which by the way, reminded Brooke of Jake because he bought her the box set knowing how much she loved the show. “Like, oh hey, by the way, I slept with one of your friends right after we broke up? Sort of? Even though, at the time we weren’t really together. No,-- I can’t say that. And I can’t keep Tyler as my fantasy boy draft either. So, I’m gonna need your help. Please. Just tell me what I should do.”
