The Old Days // Closed RP
Stella couldnât remember a day when she didnât feel tired.
Eight years old, and she was exhausted, all the time. The year was 1926, and there wasnât much the doctors could do for her asthma, her allergies, or the hole in her heart. She was a weak, frail little girl, and always would be.
And she hated every minute of it.
Her daily habits consisted of: wake up, get dressed (sometimes bathing, sometimes not, it was the 20s), go to school, go home, do homework, go to bed. She badly wanted to get a job to help support her and her mom, but her mother forbade it, saying that she was too weak and frail to work in a factory with the other kids, that her asthma would kill her before she turned 10.Â
So here she was, eight years old, heading to school and grumbling to herself about the argument sheâd had with her mother about work again the night prior, when WHAM, she went tumbling to the ground.
