   When people started dying in a small town, residents noticed, especially if those deaths were in strange and unusual ways. Rumors and speculations traveled fast until everyone had a theory. As an outsider in any town he visited, Griffin was often the subject of those theories. That normally let to less than favorable encounters with police which had Griffin fleeing town before things could escalate. Sometimes he was lucky and heard about the deaths before he became the target of suspicion. Most times, Griffin didn’t even know someone had died until he was being interrogated in a parking lot.

   It made it difficult to avoid hunters that way.

   So when Griffin realized he was being followed, there was a split second where he considered running, but the idea of getting tackled into the ground didn’t sound too appealing if it actually was just a police officer behind him. Slowly, Griffin turned around.

Charlie had just said goodbye to her mom for the last time, she didn’t want to do it but a piece of her told her to say no to her mom. Her mom whould be greatly missed, heck she already missed her. She closed the last page of the hobbit and put her book in her bag. Wiped the rest of her tears and went to face the real world of ahead of her ounce agin. She left the hospital room, with some tears running down her face.

Alice stood behind the counter of the little sports tavern off of the little hotel she grimaced at the man at the end of the bar, He was a hunter she could always tell, so could her father. She’d begged him to lie, say there were no rooms. Her father said they needed the money but he’d keep an eye out and evict at the first time of trouble. And too keep Hanna Marie in doors and out of her little garden. The man gestured to her, so she waltzed over hiding her  disgusted, she knew the rules, play nice and we all get out alive. Hunters are paranoid fuckers, turn them all away and they’ll figure it out. Treat them like  you know something, they’ll figure it out.  “Can I help you sir?” She smiled at him sweetly dropping a basket of popcorn  in front of him. “We have dollar margaritas if you might be interested?”
