Schools building schools The German joint Design-Build-Program of the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences / Peter Behrens School of Arts and the Chair of Building Design at the RWTH Aachen combines the mostly theoretical academic curriculum with practical instruction in a new way of studies and research: Bachelor and Master students put their ideas into practice - from beginning to end.

The cooperation of different universities, vocational schools and educational/cultural institutions supports the concept "Build together - Learn together".

The recently completed project transmits a good feeling. Even if our contribution to it was a small one, we are happy to present it.

Since most people I showed this to seemed to like this photo, I figured I’d put it here as well.

The university hospital of the RWTH Aachen University (in short Uniklinki) in Aachen, Germany, is an outstanding and remarkable (neither of which necessarily means pretty) example of the brief trend of high-tech architecture, when people decided to put all the infrastructure of massive buildings on the outside. I really liked the way it looked with this incredibly dramatic sky we had on thursday on my (properly socially distant) evening walk.
