Robert Week 2026: ↳ Day two: Who was it! It doesn't matter. It does to me! (aired 11 Nov 2015)
ROBERT WEEK 2026 | DAY 2: Favourite Emotional Scene
10th September 2025 (Gorge Scene)
night calling [emmerdale. robert & robert. mentions of robert/aaron. ~2.2k.]
When he was a kid, his mum’d tell him to make a wish. Not just with candles on a cake, but everywhere. Make a wish, she’d say over dandelions and shooting stars that could be planes and eyelashes. Make a wish, she’d say, and Robert would squeeze his eyes shut and wish for stupid things, bikes and computers and his dad’s attention. Make a wish, he thinks, looking at the starless sky, exhaustion deep in his bones. The gentle thud of grass under boot makes him sit up, the curve of his spine painful as he struggles not to fall asleep. “You’re trespassin’,” he says, before he can see who it is, voice trembling in a way he’ll deny. He’s not afraid of a scrap, not afraid to of someone bigger takin’ a hand to him. “Or you are,” a voice says back, low and a little growly but so familiar. Too familiar.

you shine through me in every mistake that can't be undone
‘Don’t,’ Robert says. ‘Don’t what? I didn’t say anything.’ ‘You didn’t need to. I know what you’re thinking.’ ‘What am I thinking, then?’ Robert shakes his head and sits down next to the sofa next to Aaron, pressing himself against the armrest to open up a space between them. He doesn’t want Aaron to reach for him right now; he doesn’t have the strength not to collapse into him if he does. ‘I do have some good memories of Dad.’ or; Robert finally tells Victoria the truth.
