sometimes you just want your two favourite characters who have nothing to do with each other to interact. anyways i think if felix and agent south dakota met in straightforward terms she would be disgusted by him. HOWEVER if they met in a circumstance where felix is acting the “charismatic gruff mercenary with a heart of gold” then she would be initial pissed off by his flippancy but she would fall completely for it. she’d reluctantly grow fond of him and she’d think they’re bitchy bffs.
if a straight-up the betrayal comes south would be apoplectic that she was fooled and she’d be VERY affected by it. shows that she’ll never trust anyone ever again. she would think back on all the times they made fun of other people together and wonder if he was also making fun of her for being the fool at the same time.
felix thinks she’s fun. pushing her buttons is fun but so is bitching with her. she’s mean and he likes that! maybe he asks her to join him. maybe when he realises he wants her to join him he begins manipulating her in that direction, sowing seeds of doubt for the side she’s working for, turning her against people, perfect for falling to his side. he’d spin a “i was a spy the whole time but you’re special and i can’t stomach betraying you” or something like that. maybe she sees through him. maybe she joins him - but if she does it won’t take long for her to see his true skin. maybe she stays. maybe she doesn’t.
