I knew it was meant to be mine when I spotted it on @henhousevintage page and it was still available. Plus, they just happened to be delivering in my area so I could check it out in person. After a brief (probably suspicious looking meeting 🤣 in the Lowes parking lot), we brought this baby to its rightful home. 😂😂 . . I didn’t have a budget for anything new so I shopped my house. I repurposed these frames that held baby pictures in my sons’ room, downloaded some free graphics of botanical prints and arranged them in a four square. Then I added the wreath. It seems like fall is flying by however, I’m still loving my pumpkins for Thanksgiving 🦃🦃. I had a lot of questions about my blue pumpkins so I thought I’d share how I painted them. I purchased cheap plastic pumpkins and used Duck Egg Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan from @vintagecottage150 to paint them. I also painted the white ones with Old White Chalk Paint. I like the chalky look versus a shiny finish that these Dollar Tree pumpkins had. I like to keep several basic colors on hand to create a finish that I’m happy with.
