Wonka Runts?
The original Fruit Runts.
Hey everyone!!
After much procrastination, i have finally started preparing my comic to post it online. You can expect it to be published in a couple of days, but i'll try to do it sooner :)
A high quality version will be available on itch as well for those who'd like to toss in a couple of bucks for support. But i'll very gladly accept a kind word as well :)
Questions About Female Harpy Runts
1. How rare are harpy runts in general?
2. Are female runts rarer than male runts?
3. If a female harpy is a runt (shorter/smaller), would her height be closer to that of an average male harpy, or more similar to Kree’s height?
4. Does being a runt affect how other harpies—both male and female—perceive or treat her?
5. How would being a female harpy runt influence her mating instincts or behavior during heat/other’s behaviors (in a non-explicit)?
Runts are fairly common, the term is used for harpies who are much smaller than average when they hatch from their egg, having not developed properly. However, a runt being able to grow into adulthood is pretty rare since they have a distinct disadvantage from birth and live in some pretty dangerous environments . They are often unable to flee from predators and can die when trying to hunt large game.
Females are already rarer than males, so automatically there are fewer female runts, but if you were to take percentages rather than head counts, the chances of a male or female emerging as a runt are equal.
Female runts would be closer to the height of the average male harpy. A female would need to be born with a harpy equivalent of dwarfism to be below 6ft.
Being a runt is often something harpies are bullied for, but that mostly happens between children. As adults, harpies can be curious or ableist about the short stature of a runt and runts can be discriminated against as a potential partner. Most harpies would say they don't want a runt for a mate.
Being a runt does not affect mating instincts or behavior. They would be the same as any harpy so long as they are healthy. However, having a harder time obtaining a mate/partner may make runts have to spend more spring fevers alone than the average harpy.
