From the first couple’a runs this week. (I actually did FIVE! Yay me!) Bernal is nice and green. My fave. The Wharf was cloudy with a little rain but nothing substantial. Definitely lucked out! Lovely Aquatic Park, Russian Hill, Marina, Fort Mason loop yesterday that took us up Hyde (there Cage’s house for sale) and back down Chestnut to Palace of Fine Arts where the swans were extra extra and back to Aquatic Park witch remains closed because of the government shutdown so there’s trash everywhere, including the rubber ducky tied to another rubber sunbather in an inter tube next to the beach. Cute but sad. People are gross. Scenes from my last few runs around town. Today, Grace and I hit up the Presidio for the first time since before Halloween! It was very good to be back and, as always, provided an amazing setting to get our sweat on. For some reason, I only took one pic up on Bernal Hill, that’s getting greener by the day! Glad the rain let up so I could get another Bernal/Holly Park run in before vacation! The Bernal Rock is now gold. I actually took a pic of it last week where it looks super shiny so I included that here too. I love the hold! Could do without the weird bible verses written on it... Anyway, with the little bit of much needed rain we’re getting, Bernal’s beginning to turn green! Hooray! Check out this before and after of Andy Goldsworthy’s Wood Line from Thursday’s run...which was also the last run I was able to do until this smoke clears. The first shot was at the beginning, the second, less than an hour later at the end. About 10 minutes before I finished, the sky went gold from the smoke from the Camp Fire. At the time I didn’t know wtf was going on – I thought I was tripping or stroking out – and didn’t hear about the fire until later that night.
