A New The Gaslight District/Breadhead/Breadheadâs Brother Theory
===================================
Okay, so with yesterdayâs Glitch Direct revealing some things to expect later on in TGDâs run, I come again with a new theory relating to Breadhead and his enigmatic older brother.
Alright, so the meat (or perhaps bread?) of this string of consciousness stems from this image of Breadhwadâs chem:
Know, as most people know, the full translation of this little slip of paper details the ingredients and process by which Breadhead was created, chief amongst them being ONE THOUSAND LITTERBUG SOULS, so, myself and others have come to the conclusion that Breadhead will have some sort of inherent connection with the demonic flies.
With that in mind, I come to my next point:
For the uninformed, this dossier details how the pictured litterbug is apparently âevolvedâ in some way that differentiates him from his ilk, possibly being more intelligent or otherwise acting as a middleman to direct the bog standard variants seen throughout the Pilot and various trailers. If this ends up being the case, itâs likely that this âBugsy Joeâ or another âevolved droneâ may set their sights on the Smiling Deadâs muscle, something that doesnât bode well for Breadhead since golems are considered private property in this universe.
With all of that said, Iâve come to multiple possible conclusions as to what might go down regarding Breadhead and his older brotherâs connection to districtâs demonic populace:
A gang of litterbugs will attempt to conscript or otherwise gang press Breadhead into joining them, exploiting the fact heâs technically, in the loosest possible interpretation is one of them.
Breadhead is already acquainted with litterbugs that either frequent the shop or live near by in the greater Chain Port region, with his connection to them possibly coming back to bite the family, possibly by them looking to have a debt repaid or otherwise looking to claim what they think theyâre owed.
Since Breadhead is a yeast golem and therefore likely considered little else than a useful and convenient piece of equipment by the wider community and therefore something that can be either repossessed or âreappropriatedâ (stolen) to fulfill the whims of others.
For all we know Breadhead might hold some inherent attachment to the litterbugs, up to possibly having âphantom memoriesâ from the lives taken to create him. Something particularly sharp and savvy drones may be more than willing to exploit.
With all of this said, I come to my final possible theory and the culmination of this speculating: Breadheadâs older brother previously left the Smiling Dead, willingly or not, and joined up with a group of litterbugs, who are now looking to recruit another golem into their ranks, regardless of what the rest of the Hill family may say about the fact.
Honestly, this kinda just fell out of my brain while I was showering earlier, so any one of these could be way off base. Whatever the case, Iâm curious what other people think or have to contribute to this, and Iâm looking forward to when we have more episodes rolling out to answer our questions and raise new ones.
