Hi there! I keep seeing the speculation that Merlin pulled Killian aside to tell him of what may happen i.e. him becoming a dark one, but I've completely missed where the speculation has come from! I've been super busy this season so I haven't seen all the episodes and I'm relying heavily on the fandom to fill me in on Tumblr! Can you fill me in??? Thank you! (btw absolutely love your blog!)
There hasn’t really been anything solid to be honest, just speculation because of how quickly Killian embraced the darkness...how quickly he went back to his old ways and how easily he’s pushing Emma away.  It’s just odd and very suspicious, tbh, so we think perhaps maybe Merlin pulled Killian aside privately at some point.
Merlin said in this episode that this was the darkest path he saw for Emma, so it would make sense for him to tell Killian about it and warn him.  He would have to tell him to be prepared, that this might happen and he would have to do what needs to be done...including crushing Merlin’s heart.  Merlin has said he only sees bits and pieces so I’m guessing he told Kilian to do whatever needs to be done.
Also, during Merlin’s magical voicemail, he said their only hope to stop the darkness now was Nimue.  And who brought Nimue to Storybrooke?  Hook did...because he knows.
