2014 Rock 'n' Roll Rumble Rear View. I'm just coming down.
A champagne soaked Anngelle with Andrew of Mellow Bravo & JR Roach of Goddamn Draculas!
Truly. It’s been one week since we wrapped up the stellar #RUMBLE35. This was my 5th as host and organizer. It feels like I have finally gotten it right. The bands. The people. The vibe every night. It just worked.
I am really okay with telling everyone that it was more work this year than any before. When I took on the task of bringing the Rumble back from the dead, I fully accepted that, no matter what, it would be my job to lead it, to oversee it, and do everything needed to make it a success. And doing all the work on my own this year was by choice. I don’t trust just anyone to be involved. While I did put together an excellent team of people for the event (whom I will get to in a minute) there are things that I only I can do. I have set the tone for the way I want the Rumble run. That’s the way it is. I am very proud of it. It means everything to me. Why else would I cry like an ass in front of hundreds of people (also, oof!).
So, now, after 5 months of around the clock work, it is over. I have only begun to recover.
So many thank yous. I will be revisiting this as I have time this weekend but wanted to get this out before too much time went by. Thanks to my CBS Radio/WZLX people for allowing me to do this and supporting me through it - Mike Thomas, Carter Alan, Chachi Loprete, Tim Staskiewicz and Matt Dolloff.
Carter’s awesome mullet needs some facetime
To those of you who I saw out every (or nearly every) night. I know this. And I thank you. To those of you who come out the Rumble and support it, thank you! You have nothing to say if you don’t come to see what it is really all about.
Special thanks to Paul Gallo. He puts up with way more than any of you would.
Thank you TT the Bear’s, Kevin Patey, Bonney Bouley, David Virr, & all the staff for seeing this through.
Thank you Chris at PBR, the official beer of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble! Thank you Metronome Media Group (Kerri & Jay). Looking forward to the Rumble footage shot over Semis and Finals.
Johnny Anguish of Daykamp Music is our official Rumble live photographer. We do this because we love it. It shows in everything he does. Great work! All live photos by Johnny Anguish/Daykamp Music. Used with permission (and if you use his, please credit him!).
The great people at New Alliance/EMF for stepping up and hosting our Rumble band party, It is an important part of the Rumble. Thank you, Alvan Long, Jon Taft, and Nick Zampiello.
Thank you to John Robinson and Eric Roberts who help with Boston Emissions. I tell them to show up if they want and they still show up.
Thank you Pam van der Feest for keeping things organized and running at both the New Alliance party and merch island while still smiling the whole time! Thank you to Kevin from Audio Cotton for the tshirts each night and to Nicole Freeman for keeping that organized.
Our Rumble Photobooth Photogs - Shilo McDonald (he gave us a lot of computer support too!), Jonas Meyer and Duncan Wilder Johnson, this

Stage Managers: You are an important component to making this run smoothly - Mick Greenwood, Brendan Boogie, Adam Sankowski, Kier Byrnes, and Chuck Ferreira. Eric Roberts jumped in there for a save or two as well. Thank you!
My media friends for whom all of this wouldn’t be as celebrated. Thank you for believing in and supporting and actually attending the Rumble!: Michael Marotta and Vanyaland, Jed Gottlieb from the Boston Herald, Paul Robicheau from Improper Bostonian, HIlary Hughes, who came up from Brooklyn to cover Finals for DigBoston — okay, you too Jeff Lawrence! Thanks to BDCwire, Ryan’s Smashing Life, Boston Globe, and Do617.
