“there is cheese in the kitchen, by the way,” a knowing little smile, “morrigan told me you’re quite the fan.” 

“I do believe he rose through the ranks to the position of Lord Seeker; I was terribly proud, of course.”

at least MY prayers can’t be misconstrued as assuming the position, chantry-boy!

“Am I supposed to have a speech prepared about it? Useful enough, or a right pain in the ass when trained. Depends on what side of the teeth you’re on. Slobbery idiots when they aren’t. You can only really trust the ones that’re somewhere in between.”

            ---“Do you really think that’s funny, or are you nervous?” Her voice comes out blunt and flat, lacking any hint of the laughter that she assumes was the intention of the comment. It has been years and even she knows the story of the Hero of Ferelden and companions, but she’s not exactly thrilled to be so close to history. She’d rather be talking to the Hero herself ( that’s a person worth admiration, she thinks, not the warden who just followed orders. ), and the lack of enthusiasm comes across.
