KEEP IT SIMPLE - BASIC BLACK

Last week was a flurry of activity so my outfits have consisted mostly of tried and true simple basics that I can quickly combine to wear out the door. Here is some basic black and denim - the embellishment on the sweater means I don’t even need jewelry!

This week features the details of bow-tie front tops. This “top” is the same piece worn with jeans here. But today I have styled it for a work meeting with a black skirt and white jacket and that black silk tie I bought recently. This week I want to talk about details. I do love basic and classic items of clothing but with some sort of interesting details. It could be an embellished collar, a colorful zipper, gorgeous embroidery or lace, or even a sleeve shape.
