“there are forces more powerful than the will of the gods, my son. fate is one of them. love, another.” in the context of percy and annabeth saving each other from the sirens. their love for each other being the reason they both survived something that probably should’ve killed them. love being a force that not even the gods or monsters could stop. “like the one version of fate that doesn’t suck” being the version where you have love.
