If you saw last year, I made a three-parter on ships and such. This year, there will be a focus on characters with a new post about new ships!

So, in this fifth part will be a focus on both Canon and Headcanon as Trans/Nonbinary, or overall non-cis. I would make them individual posts, but I fear that it would be too short! Check my blog under the Pride Month tag to see prior posts.

First up...

Raine Whispers from Owl House! This was the first character that I knew I wanted to include in this. I even met their voice actor at a con, and they are the nicest person ever, and I cried so hard. THANK YOU, DANA TERRACE, FOR GIVING US THEM!

HEAR ME OUT! HEAR OUT! I KNOW A HEADCANON RIGHT FROM THE START! BUT YOU CANNOT TELL ADRIEN IS CIS! AT THE VERY LEAST, I WILL ACCEPT NONBINARY, BUT IN MY HEART, ADRIEN IS MTF TRANS!

Anyone remember nonbinary Pidge from the Voltron Days? Cause I do; I still headcanon them as such. Does it mostly stem from the voice actor being non-binary, a little bit? But still, I love me some nonbinary Pidge.

THE SAILOR STARLIGHTS! Let's be real: there are a LOT of Sailor Moon characters I could've put here, and shoutout to Haruka for being canonically gender-non-confirming, but I gave her a shoutout in the lesbians post. Now these three, they were quite literally switching genders in the 90s anime, to the point they refused to dub Sailor Moon Stars cause it would lead to too much censorship.

Kirara Hoshi from Jujutsu Kaisen is a trans woman. Argue with the wall. I couldn't find a better GIF with just her, but you know what? Let's give flowers to Hakari for being the best ally and loving his girlfriend, and I totally love the headcanon that he paid for her surgery.

Is it odd to count BMO here cause they're a robot? I feel like it's not because their pronouns literally switch with every episode depending on the mood. And they're a fully fledged character with growth and such.

Alex Fierro from Magnus Chase! Thank you to whoever created this GIF, cause I felt so bad not being able to include Nico di Angelo and Will Solace in their posts, and I REALLY wanted to talk about this genderfluid icon! Thank you, Rick Riordan. I was hyped reading about this representation in any way.

Another canon nonbinary character in Double Trouble from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power! I do wish they got more screentime lowkey.

Ruby Moon from Cardcaptor Sakura! I wish this GIF had the quote when Spinel Sun asked why she isn't wearing the boys' uniform, and she replied that the girls' uniform is cuter. What an icon!

Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls! I'm not immune to the trans Dipper propaganda, and neither should you. I'm not sure which exact flavor of trans Dipper you enjoy, from mtf trans for sapphic Dipcifica, OR how ftm trans coded he was in the actual show.

Of course, what Tumblr am I for not accepting the headcanon of Trans Danny Fenton? Legit, just watch the show through the lens; he's a trans guy. Seriously, it makes it so much better, and it's a fuck you to Butch Hartman.

Look at this beautiful woman in Sallie May from Helluva Boss! I was so hyped to find out she's a trans woman AND she's voiced by a trans woman! We love to see it!

Look at this quote by the absolute enby icon Haruhi Fujioka. I know it's TECHNICALLY not canon, but come on. Haruhi is not cis. I personally see them as nonbinary, but I love seeing genderfluid or trans Haruhi headcanons.

PRINCESS MARCO! OH, THEY WERE COWARDS, NOT LETTING HER LIVE HER DREAMS! SHE'S A TRANS FEMALE IN MY EYES, GOD DAMN IT!

Ranma Saotome from Ranma 1/2, the literal definition of genderfluid. Look, I only watched the reboot, but I was told they break the curse in the end, and honestly, I kinda dislike that. Let Ranma live his dreams of being whatever gender she wants in the given situation.

Nimona is the fluid nonbinary icon we all need. Let's be real: shoutout to ND Stevenson for his exploration of gender reflected in her. 'Cause if you watched the movie, we all remember the line of Ballistar commenting that she was a boy, and her reply was, "I am today". Icon.

Misaki Ayuzawa from Maid-Sama! Okay, I was looking for the very specific GIF of Misaki dressed as a butler and absolutely feeling themselves. I'm unsure if I like enby Misaki or trans male Misaki, but that's where I am now. And if you're wondering about Usui, he just likes Misaki regardless of their gender.
