The design of the needles, I think I will separate these from fire emblem now since the story can stand on its own without canon references, two of the characters already look different enough to be unrecognizable and I will credit the third one as ‘heavily inspired by Roy from Fire emblem series’ until his designs differ enough. 🤔

‘The Expanse’ returns to comics in a new maxiseries from BOOM! Studios

Andy Diggle and Rubine tell a story set between ‘Babylon’s Ashes’ and ‘Persepolis Rising.’

Rubine is a tough and sexy female cop based in Chicago who features in the Belgian French bande dessine of the same name. The title was conceived by Walter Walthery, the author (with Gos) of the more famous Natacha, the adventurous air stewardess. Stylistically, the comics are very similar - Rubine even looks a little like a red headed tousle-haired Natacha - but the stories have a very different feel. Natacha, with its roots in the late 1960s, never lost its camp “espionage” aspect, whereas Rubine walks the mean streets of modern Chicago, gun and handcuffs at the ready, to take down murderers, drug dealers and cartels. The series was first published in 1993 and there have been no further new Rubine stories since 2011, although compendiums of her adventures known as Integrales, continue to be published.
