Hi! This is kinda random, but do you have any poetry recommendations? I always really like the stuff you reblog, but I haven't actually read a full poem since freshman year of high school.
all in the golden afternoon by Lewis Carroll (all his poems are great, tbh). I’d recommend more by name but I appear to have misplaced my huge book of his poems and short stories, so just google his name. there’s a few about unrequited love and one about ships and they’re all really good.
psalm 0 by Alicia Ostriker. haven’t read much of her but I plan to, so here’s a pdf of her works.
the glass essay by Anne Carson. here’s her book, too, Plainwater.
Ashglory by Paul Celan. I’m still digesting it.
I sing the body electric, especially when my power’s out by Andrea Gibson
everything by Olivia Gatwood, but especially manic pixie dream girl. transcripts are well and good but listen! to her! talk!
snow and dirty rain by Richard Siken. read his other stuff too!
The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock by TS Eliot
Stop all the Clocks WH Auden
Strawberry by Paisley Reckdal
there’s probably more, but this is what I can recall at the moment + find links to. I also recommend checking out Sandra Cisneros, Rainer Maria Rilke, Marina Tsvetaeva, Pablo Neruda. browse the poetry foundation when you have time, as well as this blog.
