Received these RSDoll spine parts today from @idragonhawk. They’re fantastic! I don’t have concrete plans for them yet, but I have some (mostly spooky) ideas.

Yes, S/L gets new sculpts as fast as they can. This doesn’t mean that the specific doll you’re looking for will be one hundred percent sure recasted. And if it is (at some point), you can’t tell exactly “when”. You can check the recast master list every now and then, or ask S/L by Skype (chinabjd8) if they have certain sculpt or not.

Another option is to talk to them and gather a big group of people who wants the exact same doll. If you coordinate your efforts with (let’s say) about 10 or 20 people who wants the exact same doll you want, you can talk to S/L and they will buy, recast and produce the doll as a giant order of 10 or 20 units of the same. But it has to be the exact same doll. And you have to buy all the dolls at once (and pay at once and then split them to their final destination on your own), so you have to find a large group of people who wants the exact same doll as you. Not “one from the same company” or “the same type” but the exact one. It’s hard to do, but in more popular doll such as FL releases it has being done before. You’ll need to talk about it with S/L on Skype (chinabjd8) and ask them “what are their conditions” on the exact RSdoll you want.

And I will clarify this again, is not “by popular request” (and by that I mean “without any compromise of buying”), you need to pay in advance for the order of 20 or 10 or whatever number S/L decides of the same exact doll. Many people daydream and ask for dolls to be recasted and then they don’t buy, so S/L (and all recast sellers) use this method, “if you want this, get a big order, pay in advance, wait a time until we get the sculpt, do the molds, cast them and finish them”. So be aware it’s not as simple as “If enough ppl request a certain sculpt” and you get the doll by doing 50 fake email accounts and asking for the same doll from different addresses. They won’t buy and recast the sculpt until they have the money for your large group order of the same sculpt.
