I love my writing of course, and all my characters, but I think I will be taking a step back from writing on here for a little while. I'm going to continue to post on Patreon and my commissions, plus occasionally about projects I'm working on (like my Kickstarter starting on August 5th), but I won't be posting stories on here often probably until at least October when I get back into Creeptober and then likely remain low active until December or even 2027.

I'm more likely to answer asks about my writing than asks about anything else.

I hope everyone understands. I love my work. I love writing. I just don't think that right now I can realistically maintain the work load I've been doing for myself. I've been unwell lately (trying to figure out why) and dealing with the overwhelming case of imposter's syndrome hasn't been helping either. Now that I have a much larger following than I used to, I don't want to just drop off for months on end without an explanation.

If someone has a genuine issue with how I write, you feel like I’m being disrespectful to your culture or community, please feel free to message me and we can discuss it respectfully like adults. I said this a couple years ago when a non-Indigenous person said they felt like I was being disrespectful to Indigenous Peoples by using the Raven Mocker (despite my one of ancestral Nations being one of the ones where that’s a big part of our folklore and I have every right to write about my own culture-) ,while I do my best to be respectful, sometimes I know I dip into other people’s cultures. As an Anthropology major and someone who was raised in a multicultural home in a very multicultural community, I appreciate and love learning about other cultures and communities, so if I do something disrespectful, it’s never intentional and I want to be taught.

I also have this mindset and I’m very open about it because if I ever see anything with Sk1nW@lk3rs or W3nd1g0s on my dash, I don’t interact with it. If it’s someone I even kind of know or have interacted with on a regular basis, I’ll explain to them why it’s so incredibly disrespectful. When you’re not raised in a culture, sometimes you just find things outs via media without the cultural context and you like to use it. If you’re a halfway decent person, you’re open to understanding why it’s not appropriate or why it makes people uncomfortable.

Bruh that's literally what I'm saying. I'm a mixed Indigenous, queer, technically disabled, AFAB person, on top of some other stuff about me that's hella political but not gonna get into. Lol. Like be serious! At some point they just get silly. You're going to complain about me writing about a disabled man dealing with the internalized misogyny of being disabled and having to rely on help for being "anti-masculine"? 💀

I am doing my best to take care of myself though! I'm working on the 31 Days of Creeptober, finishing up my novel, and some personal stuff so I'm trying to keep up with that on top of posting. I know I haven't been as consistent as I'd like to be and then I randomly dump like six posts in a day.
