@royedweek2019 Day 5, ‘Wait for me’.
‘The mission was finally done. It had taken an entire week for the team to locate and aprehend all the culprits of the serial killings that had been plaguing Central for almost a month now.
He allowed himself a sigh - it was done now. He could go check on the not-so-little issue that kept banging pots and pans in worry in the back of his head at all times now. Edward had been separated from the group while fighting off some grunt, and by now he should have been back with his opponent mangled beyond recognition, so Roy felt he was excused this time for worrying a little more than normal about his husband.
He had, of course, ordered Ed to wait for him so they could assemble a proper assault team to go after the criminal, but did he ever listen? No.
So now here he was, looking around the few rooms in the facility wide enough for a full-bloen fight, and he was starting to get very confused because he’d just opened the door to the last such room to find nothing but filthy walls and empty space. He was about to turn around and go think up where else Ed could be when he noticed another door leading out of the dirty room, left slightly ajar - well he might as well check while he’s at it.
As he was grasping the door handle, the putrid smell lf death hit him like a punch to the face, and he preared to yell at his husband for not knowing how to hold back on an opponent, annoyance growing together with the constant headache he’d had all week working on this case.
He loved Edward with every fiber of his being, but the man just had a way of making his job so much harder than it had to be sometimes. Well, then again Ed was usually the one solving his cases for him with that big brain of his, so Roy decided he’d treat him to some good food and just as good sex after chewing him out.
He was smiling as he thought of the evening ahead of him. And then he opened the door.’
