🌹 - How would your muse react to romantic gestures, expected or not?

Depends on how she feels about the person. She’s not a very emotionally open person, so most attempts probably get some level of... looking really amused by the attempt. Now, someone she feels strongly about? Can leave her genuinely speechless.

🌷 - Is your muse likely to be the one to make the first move, or would they wait for the other to make a move first? 

She’s the first mover, all the way, though if someone can beat her to it? Bonus points for them. Generally if she sees something or someone she wants, she seizes the opportunity.

😍 - Does your muse have any crushes?  If so, who are they?

She would never categorize them as crushes. But besides Zaeed, Wrex and Samara could be considered such. She likes them strong.

💛 - In what ways does your muse express their love to their partner?

Rowan’s all about physical affection. She is a very physical person. But if you’re truly special, you start getting little hints you’re on her mind, or she was thinking of you. Bonus points if it’s something functional that keeps you safe (new armor, weapon upgrades), cause that definitely means she wants you to stay alive and stick around.

💜 - Does your muse date others based on their appearance or personality, or both?

Personality. Appearance may initially draw her, but it alone can’t interest her long enough to stick around or care. Pretty things are fun to play with, but if you don’t have a personality she craves being around? Yeah, you’re not going to see her.

♡ - Is there any kind of person that your muse will never date?

She can’t do naïve. She had all of her innocence and naivety ripped from her young, and doesn’t really have the capacity to deal with it on a casual basis, let alone any deeper ones.

has a sister, eleven months younger than him, named Rowan who is also a redhead, light bluish-grey eyes, freckles, tallish

both are from Edinburgh, Scotland

both have been living on the streets since they were young. They aren't part of a 'gang', but collectively, the two of them are known as The Tenth Street Reds.

Sometime around the time Lennox is eighteen and Rowan seventeen, they try to pick the pockets of a couple of nicely dressed men walking down the street

They get caught by Anderson and Hackett who are in town for an Alliance meeting

Rowan Shepard's spacer background gets looked down on by folks like Miranda -

But it's clear her parents loved her and did the best they could-

- because that foundation helped shape her into someone very much shaped by the rules and rhythms of military life, but not constrained by it or turned into someone hardened into cruelty -

- as willing to ask people to become better, to never take the easy way if it means doing the wrong thing, as she is to help them laugh or fight or mourn to be true to themselves & part of her crew -

- of which she asks for just as much as she's willing to give, which is everything. Her ambition and commitment to service drives her, with the memory of Akuze and all she's lost turning that drive into something fierce and powerful and protective. She pushes her crew and she pushes herself - she's very competitive - and hopes to be as good a mentor and leader as David Anderson has been to her, wanting to leave them a legacy, ultimately, of *hope.*

Especially for the man who, despite knowing the regulations against fraternizing with a member of her own crew, she fell in love with and found her desire to fight and to foster that hope deepened. Because a galaxy without Kaidan Alenko, or people like him, was a galaxy without light.

As usual, my muses didn't cooperate until after Wednesday! Here's a snippet of an idea I woke up with this morning - very vivid in my head, less so on the page - for Lennox and Rowan Shepard, Tenth Street Twin Terrors of Edinburgh, and their introduction to Anderson and Hackett...

The shadows were his friends and on a day like today, allies.  Gloomy, grey skies sagged low, hugging the taller buildings and obscuring them from view.  And sound…days like this muffled and masked all sound, distorting distance and making interception incredibly difficult.  Thick mist filled the air leaving it almost like walking into a shower fully dressed.  That brought its own issue; too much moisture left puddles to announce their approach.

Huddled in the alleyway, Lennox focused on approaching footsteps.  Despite the distortion, he identified two pairs and the echo through the fog and off the old buildings in the district suggested heavy steps.  Without glancing at his twin, Nox lifted shaped to fingers into a V then closed the first three over his thumb in the shape of an M. 

Two men. 

Rowan, nodded her agreement.  Patiently, they waited, despite urgency thrumming through their veins.  Things had been tough of late.  Even Rowan’s art wasn’t helping out as much as it had in past.  Three days since a meal that wasn’t scavenged out of disposal bins.  Mickey had tried, but the new landlord was cracking down harder than ever and she couldn’t risk her business to help them. 

Nox felt the rumble in his belly – relatively silent for now, but that wouldn’t last long – and noticed Rowan rubbing her own. 

They needed to find a worthy target and fast.

Though muffled, the steps drew closer.  When the pair finally came into view, they were far closer to the alley entrance than Nox expected.  But he and Ro had been at this for years and could stand stiller than a statue when necessary.

Older – by a couple decades at least, Nox guessed – one was dressed in a uniform of some kind, the other in fatigues and a hoodie.  Both moved casually, Hoodie had the added grace of a panther.  Something was up there; what, was the question. 

Uniform was the fairer of the two.  Dark hair, striking light blue eyes and a face that had been at the wrong end of some kind of blade or a very lucky shot.  Not overly built but looked as if he could hold his own in a fight.

Shepard tried to resist flirting with Kaidan Alenko, because she grew up with military rules and regulations and had the ones regarding fraternization memorized. You just don’t go getting involved with your junior officers and staff in addition to that -- it’s ethically a bad idea and can be bad for crew morale.

But with her crew no longer pure Alliance and the missions literally all over the map and increasingly dangerous, the cautious warmth and admiration from Alenko made remembering those regulations harder and harder. Reminders of Akuze upon discovering Cerberus was responsible for the thresher maw attacks made her finally admit her feelings to herself, rationalizing that they could die at any moment and she’d rather seize the time left and deal with the consequences if they managed to survive.

And so having to work for Cerberus, which brought her back from the dead, to stop the Collectors gnaws at her. She doesn’t trust The Illusive Man at all.

Finding Kaidan on Horizon and hearing him call her a ghost was bad enough. His distrust due to her temporary alliance with Cerberus hit her where she’s most vulnerable.
