peony - how is their ideal partner?
Kuroo’s ideal partner is essentially a best friend with a good sense of humor. Rather than someone intelligent, Kuroo prefers someone who’s witty and can argue back to his teasing, because he finds light bickering very cute and fun, especially if he can get a good reaction out of them. He knows a lot of his puns and jokes, especially the chem ones, are lame, but a partner who can at least tolerate them means a lot to him, because it helps him feel heard even when he isn’t trying hard to be a reliable leader-figure and shows that they care about his interests no matter how silly they are.
violet - how would they realize that they’re in love?
Because Kuroo is the type to date someone he’s known well and for a long time, it takes him ages to figure out that he’s actually head over heels for you and considers you something more than a friend; however, the moment when he realizes that he’s actually is in love, which is a big step beyond just a crush or liking someone for him, is when he’s in a more vulnerable state. With studies and practice, Kuroo’s always tired and stressed but wills himself not to show it in front of his team or anyone else to keep the good vibes going. It’s when you show up at his house with his favorite documentaries, snacks, and hugs without him even complaining to you is when he knows for sure that he’s most definitely in love.
hydrangea - how would they court their s/o?
Poorly! While he does serve as an excellent captain and can socialize with a multitude of people, he finds it hard to keep his cool around you, because he’s just not experienced with romantic relationships at all. Plus, you already know him well, to the point where he’s sure that you know more bad than good; therefore, the route he takes is showing you that he’s reliable to outweigh the bad he thinks you’ve witnessed via acts of service. Whether it’s tutoring you or offering to buy you a meal, he tries to get you to swoon by flexing all his skills while filtering out what he perceives to be lame. It’s a little bit overbearing and awkward in full honesty. During this period, you’ll notice that he’s a lot less chatty about his studies and his interests just because he feels a little bit insecure about them and isn’t sure if you find him talking about things like really cool receives or oxidation very attractive.
