Got to see Repo in theatres today and finally picked up on a detail I had missed from the many times I have already seen this movie. Idk if it was just me but I didn't realize until now that every Repo man has a different suit which we can see in the opening scene as well as background characters in Night Surgeon.
I really enjoy how this detail fleshes out the world of Repo. Each Repo Man can gain their own reputation and reason to be feared. I wonder if these uniforms are catered to each of their personalities or more so each Repo Man gets to design their look. Nathan's is definitely the most doctor like in design which a lot of the other suits lack. Maybe it's more of a punishment and cruel reminder constructed by Rotti. The opportunities Nathan once had and the bright life ahead of him that was all crushed in an instant. Hands that once gave life, did surgeries with precision and ones that worked with hope reduced to highly accurate killing machines. Also huge props to the costume designer Alex Kavanagh for making all those repo men just for them to be in the background of a song for a couple of seconds.
