Rosabella (my Spidersona/self insert) was a test subject against her will for the corrupt Alchemax in her dimension and got involuntarily genetically altered. They both became half human and half spider and it just manifested in different ways. Same origins, different positions, identical trauma from the alteration and same mantle.

So, like… it was conflicting for Rosabella when she found out. When she first met him again, her spider-sense told her that he was also a Spider. He’s like her. Literally. Half human and half spider. What happened to her and the mantle of being Spider-Woman/La Araña was isolating so it felt strangely comforting to not be the only person who went through that although sad cause somebody else went through it???

I say when she met him again because a few days prior to her involuntary experimentation, when the Spider-Society was beginning to grow, an anomaly ended up in her dimension and she hadn’t become La Araña yet so nobody could deal with said anomaly so Miguel (and the other characters I ship her with through different variations of her lore) came in to deal with the anomaly. The anomaly was wrecking havoc and she got caught up in it so he rescued her. It was quick but when she met him again, it took her a moment to recognize him since he updated his suit but she also recognized his voice too. Idk, I thought it was kinda cute. It doesn’t play a big part in their relationship.

Now, when Rosabella finds out that Miguel experimented on people shortly after she’s recruited, I think it’s normal that she became wary for a bit? Like hello, she was used as if she was a lab rat and altered against her will and she’s finding out that he was an experimenter doing the same thing to other people that was done to her? But like he explains what happened so they’re good again lmfaooo… it is hard to figure out since I don’t know what happened

Now… our lovable little anomaly. Miles Morales.🥺 I haven’t figured this part out yet but I want her to side with Miles at the end of ATSV and join the team to help him and as you can imagine, that is like going to do something to Miguel considering his trauma regarding his AU daughter that built his firm belief in how the multiverse works. When Gwen tells Rosabella that her dad resigned from becoming captain and that the canon events aren’t what they all thought they were, she joins the team. I’m just thinking that Miguel and Rosabella are going to have a very stressful argument at some point in BTSV lmfaooo… but also, since they’re now on opposing sides, they may have to literally fight each other because of how much they believe in what they do… like physical combat. Like ofc they don’t want to but it is a possibility, idk yet.

but i'm very curious to hear more about you and migeul's dynamics! like maybe what are some ideal dates between you two, how do you spend time together, and always what are you guys like on missions?

EEEEEEK!!! IM ALWAYS SO READY TO TALK ABOUT MIGUEL AND I! I will be speaking using my Spidersona btw >_<

I’ll start off with our dynamic! As for our dynamic, it’s coworkers to friends to lovers and I suppose it’s grumpy x sunshine. I consider Miguel and I both realists but he’s constantly stressed, closed off and he’s been through a lot which is why he may come across as pessimist but I don’t think he is. I’m a people person (not that Miguel isn’t cause idk) and very cheerful which I think balances us without clashing.

I’m still figuring it all out because I prefer to keep my lore canon compliant but in my Spidersona lore, Miguel and I do end up dating at the end of BTSV when it’s found out that the canon events and how the multiverse works isn’t how Miguel thinks it works (if he even survives the fucking movie lmaooo… pls don’t die miggy) The reason why Miguel and I aren’t an official couple in ATSV is because of his belief in how the multiverse works. He replaced Gabriella’s real dad and we all know how that turned out and the belief it caused in him. So even though we both do love each other, we can’t be together. I don’t consider it a situationship because it’s not that there is a lack of commitment, it’s literally being unable to. Miles and Gwen are practically endgame and will be together at the end of BTSV when it’s revealed that they can date despite being from different dimensions and so will Miguel and I. Nobody knows about our feelings for each other, we keep it hidden and keep our interactions friendly. Well, nobody but LYLA but come on! She practically knows everything that goes on in the Spider-Society and she’s Miguel’s best friend so I feel like it would difficult to hide from her or at least difficult to not arouse suspicion. (She’s a sentient AI to me and I love her aaaaaa ^w^)

As for spending time together? Miguel and I prefer to spend time together at home since we’re always busy with the multiverse (if the Society still exists by the end of BTSV) and being Spiders, y’know? So like, cuddling and watching movies. He knows how much I love bachata so he dances with me hehe ^_^ But we do like going out too! I’m always mindful that he has enhanced hearing but he insists that he’s fine. Our ideal dates are dinner dates cause it’s cute and reminds Miguel that food can be for enjoyment instead of just fuel. We also enjoy walks since we can actually enjoy our surroundings instead of worrying about so many things at once. I love how his huge hand completely envelops mine… <3 I ALSO LOVE SHOPPING AND HE CAN CARRY ALL THE BAGS LMAOOO
