Daddy, Dada, my big sister Charlotte, and I went to the park yesterday! Daddy and Dada don't post pictures of Charlotte but we played on the swing!
I got to try some milk that my big sister calls Bunny Milk! It was super yummy!
I played grocery store and went down the slide like a big girl! It was a great day!!
Anyone else’s heart EXPLODE?
A portion of yesterday's foray at the reservoir
Finally finished patching up these old thrifted jeans! This is some fabric my mom gifted me. The local shop that sells these fat quarters claims they're from depression era flour sacks! No way to be sure but the colors and little vehicles on them are so cute.

ghost pipes (Monotropa uniflora) along the reservoir
The aptly named Black staining Polypore (Meripilus sumstinei) and aftereffects of processing.
Snatched this absolutely massive one out of the backyard woodpile. Definitely tricky to clean because of all the dark staining, and very tough. Tried cooking town the more tender margins for an omelette, but they were still a bit too tough. Could see them being better for a mushroom jerky. The woodier parts I've hung up to dry to make some stock later, the flavor on them is really excellent. Very dark and umami, a little black trumpet adjacent.
