Day 162: Garden Snail
The humble garden snail.... I've actually been saving this one. At my last workplace I was known for drawing them everywhere so I can draw one very quickly without thinking. I was saving that for a day when I've got no mental energy. Today was that day.

Where are all these snails coming from??? I caught another one today. They are covered in mud so I wonder if they were in estivation?
I’ve lived here 8 years and trail my backyard all the time looking for garter snakes and I’ve legit haven’t seen a snail until this year.
Must be the sign of the gods.

Haven't posted in a while but am happy to say snail is 4.5 years old and going strong, he's recently tried boiled zucchini and is loving it!! 🐌💚
Whiskey disappeared yesterday. As there's no way to get OUT of his enclosure, I knew he'd gone to ground to lay eggs somewhere, but I had not seen where and could not find him. This morning, I rechecked everything because he should have been close to done. I found him in one of the moss patches, coming back up. Can't wait to see how many there are.
