An accidental mistletoe for Holly + Ivan ; please feel free to hit him if you need to. I give you permission
Holly was extremely aware that they were in the same room. She hadn't seen him come in, wasn't sure when he'd arrived or who'd gotten there first, the place so damn crowded that she was constantly brushing up against someone else, it was almost impossible to really tell who else was at this damn party. And yet she knew. The hair on the back of her neck had stood up in that way she hated and though if you asked her to pinpoint where in the room he was she'd tell you she couldn't, she still knew.
And it was killing her. The difficulty in avoiding someone the way she wanted to avoid Ivan was almost comical. She was still convinced that the universe was playing one big cosmic joke on her and despite the fact that she'd wanted to party, despite the fact that she'd actually planned to sing at some point in the night, she'd made the ultimate decision to get the hell out of there as quick as she could.
The last thing she needed was to run into him.
Which, of course, was exactly what was going to happen. She should have seen it coming, karmic retribution hurling at her face like a ninety mile an hour curveball. Holly had almost been convinced she was in the clear when she could see the archway of the place a few feet away. The door only a few feet further.
She was almost out of there when she finally spotted him, far closer than she ever wanted him to be ever again. She was sure she'd done a fine job at avoiding him after the run in at the coffee shop and yet here they were, face to face and a mere feet away. The crowd was loud enough that she didn't hear anything until loud shouts of Kiss her and Mistletoe reached her ears and with wide eyes she realized what they were standing underneath.
"Don't," she found herself saying to him again, finger held up in an attempt to keep him at arm's length. Again, he looked like he was a total gentleman and it pained her that she couldn't seem to find any hint of malice behind those eyes. It would have been a hell of a lot easier to paint him as a villain that way.
Ivan didn't make a move and she glanced at the door wondering if she should run for it again but more and more people surrounded them and more shouts were heard. This was the worst form of peer pressure and now she was practically being pushed towards him and she was finding herself angry at this silly little tradition.
Finding herself only inches apart from him was difficult and she had to close her eyes for a moment. Holly couldn't tell whether she wanted to cry or scream. Kiss him, actually kiss him because she'd missed him or push him away with as much force as she had in her.
They'd only been standing there for a minute or two at the most but she was almost convinced an eternity had passed when she finally gave in to the crowd surrounding her. Holly leaned forward and just barely grazed her lips against his, pulling back quickly as everyone clapped. Her lips burned and tingled at the same time, something that was surely her imagination altogether.
"Please stay away from me now," she pleaded much like she had a few weeks before and once again she found herself running away from him as fast as she could, looking to put that whole thing behind her.

@wtatennisfreak-blog Jesus that’s fucking horrible. What assholes! Thanks for letting me know though. What a sad day when actors treat real people like that.
@roseredwrites Yeah I got more details but wow. Bad news for them cause they are pissing off a big part of their fandom with that. I mean I only half watched the show myself before this and now I’m turned off of that.
