For more on the history of this lullaby from the Solomon Islands, sung by a young girl named Afunakwa and recorded by ethnomusicologist Hugo Zemp in 1969, read this article or watch this video.  You can download the song at Tim Prebble's Soundcloud.   The lyrics are translated in the above cited video by a relative of the now deceased singer, Afunakwa, and another translation appears on the Wikipedia page for the Music Of The Solomon Islands : "Young brother, young brother, be quiet You are crying, but our father has left us He has gone to the place of the dead To protect the living, to protect the orphan child"   They vary a bit, but the basic meaning appears to be the same.   I think it's beautiful and haunting.  The song was famously, perhaps infamously, sampled  by techno recording act of the 90s Deep Forest for their song Sweet Lullaby.
