1994: The Gories. Houserockin'. Cheating because it's a late 80s album I bought when reissued in 94. However, I took a deep dive into the garage rock revival scene in the 90s and this record is one of my faves. 1997: Bardo Pond. Lapsed. This album really got me, especially the first track, Tommy Gun Angel. Runners up: fuck, Pardon My French; Jessamine, Another Fictionalized History.

1998: The Detroit Cobras. Mink Rat or Rabbit. Runners up: Andre Williams, Silky; The Donna's, American Teenage Rock n Roll Machine.
