I am rather glad for the obscurity of my source media, the truth I will, more than likely, never stumble upon those i knew again. Not for a lack of missing them. i do, dearly. i miss running amock through forests with my good raven, our escape from the drab of court together. i miss nights spent in company with my dear hatta, how we would play at who.coukd infuriate the other most. i miss dragging cath away to skip stones and talk.of futures and dreams. i miss baffling poor haigha with riddles and rhymes, being baffled in turn by his oddest metaphors. i miss them. i miss home. but i do fear they'd be rather disapointed, to see me as I am now. not half as impossible. not half as fun, either, one might argue. ive become most dreadfully dull. i don't think.i coukd bear to know that dislike from.them.

Recently remembered that some brave members of BLADE would try and train Blatta. Obviously they couldn't be brought into NLA for safety reasons, but some could actually be pretty friendly! As friendly as a roach the size of a dog could be, I mean. - Rook, Xenoblade Chronicles X #🧁✨🦄

Pro to playing my source: Hearing people actually call me Rook! I never remembered my actual name so 'Rook' just kinda... stuck, lol.

Finally, FINALLY got my hands on my source after ten years since it's original release. It almost feels surreal, finally being able to see myself stepping out onto planet Mira for the first time instead of just watching someone else's playthrough. I can safely say the only parts I'm not looking forward to experiencing are me getting blown up an potentially not being a real person. Canon memories are so funny to me. Like, I barely remember people I knew, but I can sure as hell remember the size, shape, texture, and taste of an alien fruit I ate. I found it growing on a tree in the Primordia region of Mira. It was a bit bigger than a dragonfruit, dark purple with pink spots, and extremely soft yellow-orange 'flesh' similar in texture to a citrus. I recall it tasting like slightly sweet turnips.
