Had a good laugh tonight... Although it raises a question, why is it that once you're married, people seem to think you don't take notice of other attractive people around you? Like, I'm married... not dead... or blind. 😂 Why is it so taboo to be human?
We can appreciate an attractive person. We can comment on it. If we're polyamorous we may even ask them on a date- with our other partner's consent, of course. Just because one is married does not mean one stops taking in the people around them. Does that mean that at any point we no longer find our spouse attractive? NO! It just means that we understand and acknowledge that our spouse isn't the ONLY attractive being in the world. Nothing wrong with that.
So what brings this on is that I was out to eat with my mom and I commented on our waiter being cute. Mom replied with "aren't you married?" to which I replied, "I'm married, not dead." and she laughed "Ok then if you say so." and I said "Derrike can check out other women too ya know... and sometimes we do it together”
