Imo, the way that Roman thinks about and experiences the degradation right now is fundamentally unhealthy because the goal for him isn't pleasure or enjoyment. It's to reinforce the notion that he is unalterably disgusting and wrong and his desire is shameful and gross and should be buried or left unspoken. He wants to feel ashamed because shame is so tied to pleasure for him.

That said, it is complicated by the fact that, with Gerri, Roman had some control over the situation, so that element of rewriting trauma (Gerri uses the same abusive language that Logan does) from a place of power was there to a degree. But there was no aftercare, no acknowledgement that Gerri's attitude during the act didn't represent how she really felt about Roman (in fact, her refusal to acknowledge the two acts probably suggested to Roman that she was actually ashamed of him). So I question whether in that case it could really be healing. Like Roman said to Tom in Prague (paraphrasing) "do the disgusting act and eat the shame for dessert".

Remy: Is it bad that my immediate thought was, “Oh, God, we have another one?!”

Emile: Only if it’s bad if I thought, “Oh, so we have five boys after all,” honey.

Roman: I just found it absolutely hilarious, because I called it all from the start, y’know? Never realized I was psychic, but it’s pretty funny that this was the thing I was right about!

Virgil: I remember just being super super excited, because it meant that Logan and Jack were happy enough with each other that they would never want to be apart from each other. I wanted to know everything.

Patton: I had never been to a wedding besides Mom’s and Charles’ and that wasn’t a great time for me or Virgil. So I just wanted to know all about the wedding plans, because I wanted to know what a happy wedding would be like.

Dee: Truth be told, I was a little scared. Logan was the one who understood me best out of anyone in the family, and I was worried that Jack was going to take him away and Logan would want nothing to do with me anymore. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. But I was still really worried for a minute there.
