Lionel hung up the phone, glancing in the mirror to touch up hos his hair was tied back, fetching his bag and heading out of his home, into the woods. It wasnât long before he crossed out of them again, heading into Floaroma Town. His new business partner, Dancing Petal, had agreed to advertise in his shop in Eterna by sending some merchandise an arrangements. Heâd already set up a small stand of perfume at their shop, and was bringing a few bottles of a new fragrance for the display, but he also wanted to see what theyâd send back with him.
He arrived at the shop, a bell ringing as he entered, heading straight for the counter.
âHello!â he chimed. âIt looks great in here.â
He glanced at the little space for his creations, opening his bag to fill an empty spot or two, noting theyâd sold a couple of them, bringing a smile to his face.

Ahh... Nimbasa. What an exciting and glorious place for him to be! He smiled as he dismounts Absolon, his Noivern, and he pets his snout for a few seconds before returning him to his Pokeball. His cape flutters behind him, a nice wind accompanying the night life. The Burglar could almost compare this town to Lumiose, it was so bright and grand...!
The main difference to him, at least, was that it was just so loud. He had the feeling he wouldnât hear peace, no matter where he went. His feet started to lead him through the town, but his hands would not leave any pockets alone. Left and right, it was simply too easy for his sticky fingers to snag valuables... As the night went on, it only got worse and worse. It was wonderful.
Aloysius now found himself sitting on one of the benches, closing his eyes and listening to the people around him. There was a certain music that was playing above everything else... And it caught his attention. He raised an eyebrow, and opened one eye. People who didnât know him would think he was some sort of sophisticate snob.Â
He got up, going over to the guitarist in question. âMy,â He smiled. âYou play that instrument quite well! Very talented, you are.â
Elise was already beginning to regret taking this job.
At first, she was quite pleased that she would be able to put her skills as a pianist to good use while replenishing her wallet of the cash that she had spent far too frivolously, but now she was definitely having second thoughts.
The crowd wasnât very large--after all, it wasnât as if she was performing at an opera house, or even in a building at all. The stage--if it could be called that--was a simple wooden platform with a tall, red curtain to separate the audience from the âbackstageâ area. The audience itself was not much of an audience; there were quite a few families, couples, and groups of friends sitting comfortably on blankets spread across the plush green grass, and occasionally a passerby would stop for a moment to enjoy the music before moving along.
Harmony In Nature, is what the stage manager called it. It was a free concert that the city was hosting as an appreciation for its residents, and Elise was next on the set list.
She hadnât even decided which song to play yet. She hadnât brought any sheet music from home, so she was limited to a few pieces that she had memorized... But even as the childrenâs choir on stage neared the end their adorable rendition of Donât Stop Believinâ, Elise couldnât decide. She had no idea what the audience would like.
âMiss Bellerose, youâre up,â the manager called, motioning her toward the stage as the children from the previous act moved backstage in single-file, buzzing with excited energy. Her body seemed to move on itâs own; her feet carried her to the center of the stage, where she took a short bow, then to the grand piano that had been set up on stage left. She sat down.
As her fingers rested on the unfamiliar keys, there was a momentâs pause. Elise had never performed in front of anyone before, let alone an audience. What if something went wrong? There were a hundred things going through her head, and none of it was music.
Just play, she told herself sternly, pushing the last of her insecurity deep down. She took a deep breath, and her fingers began to dance fluidly across the keys. Although she was a bit rusty, she had played this piece hundreds of times, and even on a piano she had never touched before the music seemed to flow naturally from her hands--and for a moment the audience disappeared completely and she was alone with the music.
When the song finally finished she was brought back to reality at the sound of applause. As calmly as she could, she stood and offered a final bow before exiting the stage. Once safely behind the curtain, she collapsed onto a fold-out chair, her trembling legs having given out on her. The set manager came by to congratulate her on a beautiful performance before getting right back to work, leaving Elise alone with her thoughts, and the immense relief that that terrifying and somehow thrilling experience was finally over.
âGods, Jayden...how do you even--this is embarrassing...â Liah giggled as she struggled to pull the guitar strap over her lanky frame. Tangled up, she paused for a second to take stock of the foreign instrument around her neck. Her fingers were too long to delicately pluck at the strings and she probably had the entire operation on backwards, but hey, this was her first lesson and she was getting somewhere...
âLet me help you with that,â came Jaydenâs bright, eager voice from behind her, and Liah stiffened up slightly, biting her lower lip. âJayden, I swear...if youâre laughing at me, or even thinking about it...â she warned.
But her worries were misplaced as the rocker carefully maneuvered the guitar strap around her athletic frame, a twangy âcourse not, Liah! as his cheerful reply. After situating the basketball player with his loaned-out ax, Jayden beamed. âYa look great, Violet Virtuoso! A natural!â
Leah had to smile at his genuine compliments and even ventured to play a--slightly off-key--chord on her own. Both parties winced at the sour note, but Jayden recovered faster.
âWeâll work on that,â he promised happily, and the enthusiasm in his voice made Liahâs that much wider.
@ jayden "you may be a rocker but maybe I could rock your world"
âE-eh? Oh, uh, well ah...damn. I mean...Iâm always lookinâ for somethinâ exciting. Ya gonna leave me in suspense? Man...thatâs good lyric composition right there. Can I get a name? Or phone number? Maybe?â

Starring out towards the massive body of water, the young adult sighed. They were disappointed in the fact that his dream to open up a small beauty shop in Coumarine City came to an end. The city, as they were told, didnât think a shop that sells beauty products would be a good addition to either section of the city -- the Hillcrest Cliffs, located in the nearby hills, and the Seaside, located on the oceanâs cliff. However, this setback did not discourage them. Alex let out another sigh and began smiling.
The night before they found their way to the city. Booked a room for the week and decided to play it by ear. Seeing that they received an early apology from the City Council, the young adult decided to finish out the week in the city and spent the next few hours in their room napping.
Upon waking up, they could hear someone in the downstairs lobby asking questions. Curious, they left the room and went downstairs where they located the person asking questions; a young male roughly their age who looked lost carrying what appeared to be a guitar case.
âExcuse-moi, I couldnât help but hear you asking a question. Do you need help finding something?â
It had been a while since Petrel had been to Lavender town for more than just a simple pit-stop; in fact, the last time he spent more than an hour in time had probably been the raid on Lavender Tower, back in the day. Things had changed a little since then. Well, a lot since then. For one, heâs wearing a casual suit instead of his Rocket uniform, because thereâs no Rocket to wear the uniform ofâfor another, thereâs nothing in town that he really needs. He just... sort of ended up here. Itâs a dead end. A ghost town.
He spends the day mostly wandering, trying to find the âbad sideâ of town to see if there was any money to be made there, but a part of him doubts it. So instead after a few hours of his aimless ambling, he ends up sitting outside one of those flouncy coffee shops with the seven-dollar âItalianâ coffees, and he splurges a little to get the seasonal offering before just sitting outside with it and watching people pass by. Itâs boring.
A heavy sigh leaves on his breath, and deciding he ought to skip town early and go find somewhere a little more interesting tomorrow, he dug a half-crumpled cigarette out of his pocket and patted his jacketâs pockets to find his lighter. It wasnât there. He continued to pat his pockets. It wasnât there. Shit. It must have been buried in his things at the motel; irritated despair began to creep into the peripherals of his day. Things just got better and better, didnât they? With a huff, he cast his gaze idly around, side to side, before they settled on a guy nearby, and he called out to him.
âHey.â
âWouldnât happen to have a light on you by any chance, would you?â
